HK Trip

Just shifted over to the new blogger, and honestly, its not much different. My bros have told me that the new blogger isn't that good, but I beg to differ. To me its just the same. Anything that I can use to express myself is fine. Anyway, its Christmas Eve, and time passes so fast. Just one week or so to school. I must say that I'm looking forward to it, not only cos of my friends and stuff but also cos of the challenge. Next year is gonna be some bomb challenging year, with piano exam, SYF, PoP 2, RR concert, RJGE concert and the A levels all in the same year. I'm wondering where I'll get the time to prepare for it all, but I believe with His strength I will cope. To all those people who have started giving presents thank you. Thanks aunty K for the early present, thanks Yee Ying for the card, and thanks Mel for the shout-outs. Sorry if I don't give anyone presents, cos I am not earning any money for my parents at all, and to just spend loads their money just like

Blackout

Heya guys... For the first time ever, I lost my blogpost. And why? Cos there was a blackout that affected some parts of Singapore. Heard in the news that one of the power plants at Senoko failed causing a major blackout. Yeah but I'm not really upset. Cos in the morning I was kinda in a half sleepy mood and didn't type very clearly. Yup so I'm back from the family trip to Hong Kong, and the church camp to Kota Tinggi, and I had lots and lots of fun with my dear family and my fellow 17 year olds in the camp comm. More about those things later. Suddenly have an urge to try out the new blogger, but I think I'll save that for later. On to more interesting stuff first... *** 8th Dec - Pre HK trip (Family) Went to say goodbyes to some of my cousins and relatives before going off, and how better to do that than to play some cheap bowling. Met Elaine, Shanny, Serene, Omy, my grandma, my bros and my mom at the nearby HomeTeamNS bowling centre to have some fun. My scores: 94, 94,
Hey guys I'm off to Hong Kong! You guys have fun while I'm not here! Hope camp planning, guitar composing and eden-sol meetings go well... See ya guys Friday evening.

Music is my life!

Woo piles of music homework to do. Should be enough to last through the trip to HK. Yup FYI I'm going to HK for 4-5 days. Should be back by next friday... I'll bring my phone along but try not to message or call if you don't want extra charges to your phone bill. I may or may not reply depending on the importance of the message. *** Piano Back to the piano homework. The thing I can't believe is that I'm actually taking a break from outings just to complete it within the deadline and not vice versa. Really quite scary how big a part piano has become in my life. It may even become a probable career for extra expenditure. My grade 8 theory exam is coming somewhere next year if February or March. But I'm kinda confident of my theory. The papers I do I get about 18-22 out of 25 for questions 4-5, which I must say is quite impressive considering that I just learnt a lot of the concepts such as diminished 7th, augmented 6th, Secondary Chords and such. Trying to continu

Outings

Oh man... Can't believe that I left the previous post to rot for five days before continuing it. Haha so I might as well start a new post, since nothing much happened over the few days that I didn't blog. Yeah so the past few days I've been feeling pretty tired and lacklustre. Probably because of insufficient sleep, insufficient water or too much chips and ice cream haha. So as a result I've got a splitting headache, as well as a couple of pretty bad ulcers to deal with. Nothing much I couldn't handle, except for the pain haha. I think its time for a change of habits. *** Family The probable reason for my lack of sleep throughout the week would probably be cos of movies, risk, and poker. See, my uncle William, aunt Jenny and Desiree left for HK leaving Jody and Omy behind. And as a result, they've come to our house the past few days and we've been playing all those games till pretty late at night. Haha I am some poker noob. The twins sorta introduced it to e

Loose Ends

Haha suddenly realised I've got quite a few loose ends to tie up from everything. For guitar theres composition comm stuff as well as learning all the parts of the song. For YE theres the roster and the camp theme song. For piano I've got loads of theory homework. Even Eden-Sol stuff thats been left over from the concert like uploading songs and chording some of them has been left undone. And I realised that some of the RJC teachers left holiday assignments for us to do. Oh man... Its high time I started doing something productive. Yeah but I'll start tonight after this. Those guys I need cooperation from better help out or else... Before I begin on anything else... *** Soccer! New Post

Youtube! Thank goodness for that thing... I've spent almost every single minute of free time watching stuff on it. Yugioh GX, Naruto to name some things. After that I'm going after Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach and probably Rave. Those who don't know much about anime I suggest you try one of these... You'll like it! When you try to put yourself in the shoes of the character or imagine yourself in the story setting it can be quite beneficial to your imagination. It helps you escape from the real world once in a while and experience something new. Its really quite amazing how intricate the plots are (Even though the main character always wins). The plot twists are way too good and are really well thought out. Thats what makes anime different from any other action show or cartoon. The part about the main character surviving is really predictable, but whether that person wins the fight or not is a whole new ball game. So those who haven't touched it yet, go see some anim

Sian

Hey guys... Its been rather monotonous the past few days. Every single week its the same thing over and over again. Yup but I guess its gonna be like that when you have stuff to do. I've been waking up real late as well. Probably cos I've woken up at unearthly hours by my phone alarm. Frankly I don't know why it still rings even after I've switched it off. K I was bored so I took this pic haha. I guess it pretty much sums up my sianess... *** Eden-Sol K on to more interesting stuff. Thursday... Actually I kinda forgot what I did for that entire day until I saw the Deathnote book that Choon Wing lent me. So I sorta guess that there was something to do with the band... Oh. It was our first bible study session? If I'm not mistaken. Or was that on Tuesday? Argh hols are messing with my head. But yeah if I remember correctly, I came ultra super early and went to Guoren's house to fiddle around with guitar. But in the end they decided to go to the Macs at Toa Payoh. S

Woohoo

Ok... Just came back from piano lesson. Got heaps of piano homework to do but I'm feeling high high high. Turns out that my piano teacher is pregnant! Congratulations! And when she noticed the eden-sol cushion hanging from my phone she thought it was a gift from my girlfriend haha... Well... You guys caught me in a super good mood so instead of continuing from the previous post I'm double posting today. It seems that the ranting, reminding and reflecting I did just now helped lots, and I think I'd probably do that some other day when the need arises. I realise I was pretty courageous saying what I had to say on the previous post and I'm proud of myself. Ok now on to more fun stuff. *** PW Oral Presentation Woke up bright and early on thursday to go and rehearse PW OP. As usual my mom wasn't very happy at this, cos I'd gone out every single day since the holiday for important stuff. That morning she was either joking with me or super angry. And she asked me wheth

Mirror, mirror

Well, the holiday vibes are setting in, yet I'm still the busy guy that I usually am during the hols. Every single day of the past week was spent doing something important for CCA, band, church, chem SPA or PW. (Actually some not very important) Can't wait for December. Perhaps I'll be less busy then. Or maybe not. *** Guitar Last monday was the final guitar practice before we took a break cos of the PW presentation season. And I was pretty disappointed by the practice cos of a few reasons. I did have fun with the section 2 peoples and with some S03N people at lunch after the practice, but overall it was quite morale deflating. It began innocently enough with sectionals. I took section 2 cos Ling Ting wasn't there at practise, and I could see the section 2 people were practising hard enough. Their pace was pretty ok, some of them were faster than others, so that made it pretty hard to have practise as an entire sectional. One thing I was disappointed about was that some

Fun stuff!

Hey guys... I guess I'm feeling pretty good despite some major stuff that cropped up this pass week. I'll leave my comments about that stuff for later posts I guess. Cos the mood of this post is gonna be really light hearted! Its about all the awesome stuff I've been doing since the school term ended. And awesome is an understatement. *** The term ended on a wet and rainy Thursday, and despite the gloomy weather, Eden-Sol met up once again to celebrate our success in the concert and muse about all the fun things (or perhaps bloopers) that we encountered during the concert. After the long and trying spell of jamming and keeping up with school stuff we all just sat down and congratulated each other for surviving the entire ordeal. 4 out of the 5 of us went to Swensens to eat ice-cream to celebrate. Cos Guoren was at training with the canoeists, he didn't come. We sat down for quite long and talked and talked and talked even more. Not forgetting the all the suanning betwee
