I Love YE!

Yeah! Went out with the guys to watch KungFu Hustle! There were Twelve of us... Makes me think of Ocean's Twelve... Went to the arcade first, then I met Law-san at the air hockey game. jus said hi and went off... Martin played the Gundam game and I and Tim played the soccer game. Won the cup but lost against the all-stars... Jon and Paul rocked in air-hockey, so did Tim and Gerald. The movie wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. Marcus brought a Gensomaden Saiyuki book, I had no interest in that anime though... After the movie we went to subway to play the number game. They took 5 packets of chilli. The penalty was to eat a packet of chilli. Three people got saboed (Tim, Nick and Ian twice) and I was tyco enough to guess the number correctly... In between 147 and 342, I guessed 250 and had to eat the packet of chilli... Haha. I'm really lucky... (Maybe i'm unlucky, but I refuse to see it that way...) Dad came back from Penang... Glad he was safe... The tsunami is really bad. Man

RJC is Cool!

Well, had guitar lessons with my cousin Jomel... Just added her too. Trying to get her to join YE. She says she wanna learn drums but can't... Her progress from last week was pretty fast, I taught her to combine slurring with the bass note and also the Rasguedo... She's learnt "Through it All"! Wow! Trying to let her get into contact with the kinds of songs YE plays so maybe I can bring her... RJC was huge! I didn't get to see the new headmaster though, Bob Koh. Wonder what he's like. Anyway, we went to see all the seminar rooms, the labs, the classrooms, the LTs, the Hall, the Dance Rooms, the Library. There are a total of 11 buildings! Cool! The thing that struck me the most was the library... It has three floors, with all the books, and there's a dumbwaiter to bring the books up to the floors... Cool! There are couches in the middle of the room, the computer terminals are still being set up though... One things for sure... I AM going to help there wh

Dancing is Cool

Well...Woke up kinda late and went to the Bethany Methodist Nursing Home with my family and Des, Omi and Joe's family. Went there to visit my granduncle who just amputated his leg and had a eye operation thingy... Seeing him there was really sad for me. Though he was the guy who did a lot of bad things to the family like gambling and drinking lots of beer and getting into debt, it was really sad seeing him there. My grandfather seems to have forgiven him and so has everyone else in the family. Wells, family's still the most important after all... Went for the dance practice after doing a bit of the catalogue. Did until Bible Studies number 28, then stopped to dance. Everyone danced well... Saw a bit of the photo in Amanda's BLOG, really cool. Honestly, it felt really great up on stage. God was happy I think. I'm starting to love YE more and more. Great singing and worship too guys... I was swaying to the beat of the songs. Good job to everyone! Can't believe we&#

Merry Christmas

"Merry Christmas... I'm going around tagging everyone's BLOG..." Haha. You must be seeing this all over the place. I was on a crazy SMSing spree too. Haha. I should laugh more. Well, just watched the anime Inuyasha and Twelve Kingdoms. Cool. Samurai X is cool too. The plot of Inuyasha is thinner but is portrayed in a livelier way while Twelve Kingdom's plot is way too messy and the way its portrayed is unique. Well, will still continue watching it since I don't have soccer to watch... Told you guys I was going Orchard but didn't. My mom was tired. Too bad. I heard Eugene was there doing miming at the Paragon but never mind. Heard that Gerald asked the YE to go for a late night movie but nobody went. Haha. Sorry I didn't bring my brothers along to caroling. It would have been much more fun. The first stop was Lee Ah Mooi's, and we passed RVHS along the way. Reminds me of all my friends who went there... Reached there and did caroling, too b

The Results Are Out...

The results of the PSLE Posting are out! And guess what school my bros went to... Darren went to NUS High and Daryl's going to Commonwealth. Lucky you Kangdi... Well, congratulations to them. They've just created BLOGs too, so I've just linked them. Besides that, I've linked two of my RI friends. If you wanna see how real RI guys are like, feel free to visit. (I'm not an example of a typical RI guy you know) My mom says that its always right to return the favour when somebody gives presents to you, so I'm gonna get something for Mel, Shu and Amanda. Actually I'm not the kind that likes to go out the way to get people stuff, but I'll make an exception... Thanks for the letter Mel, I hope we'll be good childhood friends forever... Well, I think my chinese has improved. I could read all the words of the songs! Haha. Glad I went ot China. Even more happier that I mugged my chinese a lot. Going to try an translate my testimony to chinese. Its going

Dancing and Singing my Heart Out!

Oh man... After Monday's caroling session, I was so tired. Slept immediately once I reached home. Just like after church camp with St.James. I miss their table-soccer machine... We went to a kindergarten at Yishun first, and the kids were so cute. They were smiling and saying hello to us after we finished and they couldn't bear to see us leave. We said our final goodbyes and went on to Novena. Then we went to the Christian's Old Folks Home. The old ladies there looked so sad and forlorn, and I couldn't help but give my best while singing. Then we went to the All Saint's Home at Tampines. I slept on the train and looked through the chord book Tim gave me on the way. When we arrived, we started from the third floor. It was kinda difficult cos it was an open air area. We had to sing really loud... Had lots of fun. I will never forget the YFC people. I miss their table soccer machine also. Thanks to Ronica, Xiu Ying, Jeffrey and Zhao Lin for guiding me through. Those wh

Nuggets

Dancing was cool again. I'm starting to like it. Still the verse left anyway. Thanks for the present, Mel, Shu and Amanda! Its the first time I recieved a present from girls (excluding my cousins). Haha... Forget what I was saying. Sunday was cool, especially while helping the children get their food. Preparing the drinks, rushing from Pastor's house to and fro and helping set the stuff up was pretty hectic. I was panting, I ran at least 10 times across the field, carrying hot nuggets. Didn't get any to eat though. My mom and aunty Ann were saying "Eat, eat, you deserve it!" but silly me, I didn't take anything. Maybe except the drinks and a few fishballs. After that played a little soccer with the P6, scored twice. Sophia's little brother is a great goal keeper. Max is real persistent at the ball. The dogs marked people really well, all they went for was the ball. Dogs are good defenders in a soccer match.

Rushing

Friday was crazy... Rushing here and there like a lunatic, taking a cab three times in one day because of the time constraints... Well, went to Amanda's house for dance practice on Friday. Getting to know the dance quite well! Yeah! Thanks to my great teachers out there... The first part is totally memorised, and the chorus is too, theres only the verse left. Yeah! Well, after that I rushed to the YFC's X-Identity thingy (lucky some good ang moh fella decided to take the cab home to Leedon Heights), which was something like the amazing race. The final destination was the Bible House, and there we did some caroling. This was my kind of race! They had all this cool puzzles and games that I could have rocked in! Too bad I came halfway through and didn't have a group. Enjoyed myself though... The taxi took ages to come, and all the aunties in the taxi stand were like screaming "Don't cut queue!" in my face. Singaporeans are like that in rush hour? Wow, I di

Remember those Days?

Well, went with the YFC people to practice carolling and this time it wasn't too bad either. After that we celebrated May Hui's birthday. Played table soccer against two girls and thrashed them even though I was playing against two people myself. I scored like 22 times and they scored only 6 times... This part of the post goes out to all you people who are sad, bothered or lonely.... Once there was an immature Sec 1 boy who missed his Primary Six friends who had all gone to other schools different from him. Because of that, he felt really lonely and rejected, and felt that there was nobody to stand beside him in times of need. Well, his mom told him to take a bus by himself to his grandma's house, and he ended up sleeping in the bus, and the bus drove all the way to his primary school before he woke up. He got off the bus really quickly and decided to walk since he had forgotten to top up his card. He passed the primary school, and remembered the stuff that had

Still Busy...

Well, I'm still busy on Thursday and Friday. I thought I'd gone through all the busy stuff last month, but now I'm still busy. The Christmas stuff is fulling up my schedule, but I think I'll do it in the spirit of giving and love. Well, going to uncle Alan's house to carol on Friday with Jon and the girls, hope we do well. After Wednesday's practice, i'm quite confident we'll do ok... Haha... Singapore qualified for the quarter finals by beatin Cambodia 3-0. Poor Vietnam, they got kicked out... Liverpool drew 1-1 against Portsmouth cos of Jerzy Dudek's mistake, but Rafael's blaming the strikers. Its getting really crazy in the world of soccer... Holding guitar lessons for my cousin Jomel, shes doing quite well, shes learning Harmonics, Slurs and Intervals already. When I was learning, these things were kinda hard, wonder how she's doing now? My mom popped the question of going to YE, don't know if she'll say yes... She says she

Dancing and Singing? I'll Try...

Haha... Imagine me singing and go out of tune. Imagine me dancing and falling down. Luckily those two things didn't happen. On Sunday, it was a mix of both dancing and singing. Singing was ok, but dancing was the tough part. I knew the steps, but didn't know which came after what and what happens after that... Felt that I let Mel and Amanda down. They were cheering me along but I still couldn't remember the steps. My testimonial thingy is ready. Just look at this BLOG and you'll find testimonials all over the place if you look carefully. Played the bass for Sunday School worship. The projector went haywire but Tim was really smart. He challenged the children to memorise the songs and gave them tokens if they could... On Monday I went for the YFC's choir practice. First time, but everyone was cool. The dog was nice. He smelt weird, and it licked me on my hand when I petted it. It was really friendly to me. Xiu Ying told me that the dog was a little over-enthusi

Camps are Made to Help us Learn...

Well, the camp was fun, made a lot of friends and met some old ones. Surprise... Joanna was there too with Myrtle and Louis, and I met two of my old Primary School friends, Lee Yang and Nina. They still remember me... Maybe cos I was kinda crazy in Primary School. I miss all my Primary School friends. Well, I came to this camp with a question. What did God want me to do after I've learnt so much? The answer I got was simple. Wait. Yeah. That was the answer. I have to have faith in God that he has your life in his hands, and no matter what he wants you to do, it will come, sooner or later. Besides that, I got a chance to try youth evangelism, which is pretty cool. Help them see the light, cos they'll be going to eternal condemnation if you don't help them. So now, I'm waiting, and trying to help those I can help in the meantime. On Monday, the YFC have invited me to see one of their choir practices. Maybe they want me to play the guitar or something...

D Edge Camp

Hey guys... I'm going to the D Edge Camp from Thursday to Saturday with Louis and Myrtle. Hoping to learn more about the Bible and Christ, also trying to find the answer I need. I've decided that I'm not gonna let this feeling of uselessness put me down... I'm gonna wait until God gives me an answer, no matter how long it takes. Meanwhile, I'm keeping my hopes up. Well, just watched the match between AS Roma and Real Madrid. Cool match. I believe both teams weren't playing at their best, but the attacking football was deadly... I would have died if I'd played against any of those strikers. Real Madrid won 3-0. Figo's goal was cool. He chested down a ball from the air and shot it between the keeper's legs. Charissa will be happy. Liverpool won 3-1 from 1-0 down and qualified for the knockout stages... Sorry chairman for not being able to attend the important meeting. Will make up for it somehow... Please update me when i come back. Thanks. I thi

MP3 Craze

Went Christmas Shopping with my mum and bought a converse bag and some bermudas. Got some stuff for my cousins, and my bro got an MP3. I wonder why people these days want an MP3 actually. Isn't a discman, walkman or the radio enough for somebody? Its really cool though. The only problem is that my bro couldn't find a comp good enough to install the download software. The comp I'm using is too old, my father's laptop is like a maximum sercurity prison and don't forget, they busted the laptop. Passed by a Christian book room and came across a book that talked about the martyrs that died for Christ. Quite touching really. Theres this one girl that got burnt alive because of her faith. Its these kind of people that are willing to sacrifice themselves for Christ that really deserve credit too. Really feel useless to God... If people can do these acts of great sacrifice, why can't we even have small sacrifices? I really feel that we should do more... To tell the

Ivan is my Idol!

Yay... found out that Aik Hong was my Angel. Pretty nice girl, doesn't talk much, but she's still nice. Well, during Sunday's worship, I was looking at Ivan almost throughout, and I could see that he had something bottled within him. When he told us about the porn site thingy, I wasn't surprised. In fact, I really respected him for that. I remember the lines from the movie Hellboy. "What makes a man? Is it what he accomplishes? No. What makes a man is the choices he makes. When to start something, and when to finish it..." I guess Ivan made the choice to tell us about it, and for that, I really feel utter respect for him. To tell the truth, I've been to a porn site before, but I was so turned off once I entered it. Exposed human bodies are not exactly a nice sight to see in my opinion. That didn't stop me from being bothered by what I had done. But I chose to keep it to myself. Ivan did it so many times, yet could admit it, but I did it only on

The After Camp Tiredness Syndrome?

Ouch... Once I reached home, I conked out. Now its at least 1 in the morning and I just woke up not long ago. I'm not tired at all now, but my mind doesn't seem to really be here at all. Its like I left it in camp or something... Well, I've now got 3 priorities that I believe God has asked me to do now, which are: 1. Try the bass guitar 2. Help in the library ministry 3. Get my family closer These aren't really easy, but these are my goals for the first half of the new year. Well, after the camp, I still had to stay back to practice for Sunday's worship. To tell the truth, I was something like the walking dead in the bus. My mind was so blank that I didn't win TaiTi much. Staying back to play the bass guitar was quite cool. I'd never played it before, but once I tried, I felt that I could really do well. Its really coincidental that during the camp, I felt that God wanted me to do the bass guitar too... The only problem is that the bass guitar di

Camp

Well, we huys from COGS and St James are more than half way through the camp, and I must say that itn has been quite fun and enriching. In every single sermon, we can' say that we haven't learnt anything out of it. The glory of God is up to us to show to the world, and no matter what happens, we have to minister to others, in order to glorify his name. I have to admit that I cried during the worship on the morning of the third day. I was thinking the exact same thing that I was thinking of when I had cried during YE. The worship was just so powerful and the lyrics of every song hung on me so tightly. I was thinking that the grace of God was really good, cos it still helped a sinner like me... Well, before the camp, I had a bowling session with my bros and a cousin. These are my scores for 4 games: 109, 71, 130, 120. Not bad, considering that I was rusty... If any of you want to go bowling, call me ok? The bowling alley at CDANs near my house only charges one dollar per ga
