Politics

I was quite neutral when it comes to politics, but as I continue to hear opinions from both sides... I'm beginning to hate it. All I see is a polarization of views over "imagined" differences, and a pointless debating using flawed or incomplete arguments. What's even worse, a forceful attempt by many people to impose values on others, especially from the proponents of the opposition. When you take a pill, its supposed to help you isn't it? Sometimes yes, there are side effects, sometimes it takes longer to achieve its effect, sometimes the process is painful and the pill is bitter. If you don't like it, just switch to the next one quietly. If some people don't mind all of the above, who are you to force another pill down their throats? On the other hand, its pure nonsense to say that since I've never taken this pill before, I shouldn't take it, because I may die from it. A ludicrous statement for sure. Lots of the debates we hear today are based on

Assessment

2 papers done, 2 papers left! The past 2 papers were pretty alright... Bio psych was easier than expected, and Jap Studies was tougher than expected, but no worries I believe the results will be fine. =) All thats left is cognitive psych, which will most probably tire my hand out, and japanese, which should be alright. Getting less and less busy, and very likely have a long 2 plus months of break before the next semester. So what I'll be up to includes lots of exercise to ready myself for IPPT and lots of anime watching of course. =D For the next few days got my schedule all nice and sorted out... A very very good thing. But once I've completed everything on my to do list for the day I've got nothing else to do besides facebook surfing, watching tv and visiting failbook/blog. Ah wells I'll take it, cos once the next semester comes I'll be studying again. One last thing: 21 posts to 600! Can't wait. =D

To You Alone

Every knee will bow And every tongue confess That Jesus Christ is Lord Lord and King Chorus: All glory to Your name All honour to Your Majesty Forever, forever All praise to You alone Verse 2: Every eye will see And every heart will know The beauty of the Lord In all the earth End Chorus: All praise to You alone All praise to You alone All praise to You alone =============== Well what else can say?

You Are Stronger

As Good Friday draws closer, can't help but reflect on the meaning of death and how much Jesus means to me. It seems that lots of things around are just reminding me of how a simple death is much more complicated than one can ever imagine. The play that PLMGSS's drama club put up was centered around the themes of death and dealing with it, themes that are so deep yet meaningful. Death can be internal, not only external. Death is sometimes not a choice, so to live should mean a lot to you. And lastly, death can be a form of release and freedom. Those were the overarching themes that were shown during the play. Well all these are true for us humans, but when Jesus died on the cross... Its just a whole lot more meaningful than that don't you think? Regina's dad's wake reminded me of something else. How the passing of someone close can hurt so much, because we have loved him/her deeply... And as we remember Jesus's death, do we feel the same way? I hope we do, and e

Concert

Its been ages since I've gone to a school related performance... My last was about 2 or 3 years ago I believe. And I must say I miss those times when I was performing. Really want to find a good Christian band to join and play songs (hopefully Christian and Jap ones) with at a leisurely pace, and eventually be able to perform in front of a crowd again... Vanessa's concert was pretty amazing. I must say that although my school used to play some pretty brilliant music, nothing beats musical groups with a strong heart of service for God, and in that light it was inspiring... If only in the past it could've been that way for me. My spiritual growth would definitely have progressed in a much stronger way I believe. In a way its this environment that gives me no doubt that she's in good hands in her school, and because of that I'm quite pleased. Besides that really appreciated some of the performers for their expertise. The bass harpist was so good. Every single note she

Saiyuki

And so things are tuning down... The ironic thing about it is that the thing I fear about the upcoming week is being too free in between lessons with nothing to do at all. Its the truth, with almost all things settled all I've left to do is my MIDI composition, posting on the forum and studying for the finals. Hasn't been an easy semester, but I'm glad I've made it this far. Over the past few weeks have been sort of rushing around on weekends because Darren has to go to BMT. Can't say I like the rushing, but family's important for me so no complaints. The good thing about it is that we always go to good places to eat. Yesterday went to Ming Jiang at Rochester, last week to Crystal Jade. This week was easy to say the least... The only tough part about it was finishing my portion of the japanese studies paper which is due next week. But since its group work, all the more better to enjoy the process. Managed to bump into many friends throughout the week. Sec school

Antagonists

Well... In anime usually 2 kinds of antagonists exist. The ones that are pure, deadly evil, and the second kind are the ones that were super good, pure and just initially but turned bad because of some unfortunate turn of events. One of the villains that I find most interesting is a man named Sensui from the anime Yu Yu Hakusho. He was initially something like the guardian of the human world, making sure that demons would not terrorize humans. From young he had the sense of justice to enforce his ideals, and never did he back down, because he knew what harm demons could do to humans. One unfortunate day, on a mission to protect some of the richest magnates in society, he chanced upon a horrible truth. In a room in one of the mansions, he found a room full of brutality. Demons of all kinds were being tortured in excrutiating ways, unable to die but crying out for death to befall them. The magnates, with all their money, had paid to enjoy the torture of their enemies, the demons. The hor

April

Well its April Fools... Haven't got pranked as of yet. But can't seem to load any videos from youtube... Could it be a prank by the people who manage the website? =O Oh wells I'm pretty glad the past few days are over and done with, and a couple of things were finally finished. For example reading of text for lectures, doing of jap homework, bio psych presentations and cognitive psych test. A couple more things to do, such as the final Jap Studies project, final science in music test and MIDI writing, but have ample time to do it. This semester has been poor spiritually... Always taking things into my own hands and seemingly not being able to give God the glory He deserves. Oh well I'll have a better semester next time round, I believe. =) Comparing it to the previous semester, I handled the previous one a lot better, and didn't let circumstances overwhelm me. Where did the focus go? Gotta regain what I had just half a year ago: a fervent trust in His hand in my lif
