I Am A RaZist.

YE Camp this year was a spiritually charged one, and was filled with many good times of fellowship. From the point of a leader, it was effective, bringing across the point that we all have to take an active step to RAZE down the barriers between us and God, and us and others. God is always wanting to draw close to us, and many a times it is a problem on our side that prevents us from seeking Him. The previous year, the speaker talked about there being a underground stream running under YE, waiting to burst forth once a channel is made, and its taken a year for this vision to truly manifest. I do feel that YE is about to burst at the seams, bringing a wave of revival... I simply can't wait for that moment, and I wait in eager anticipation at the work that God is going to do. Kudos go to the planning committee, who created wonderful intentional situations for all to bond and all to look to God. Kudos also go to Andrew, who showed us that there's no meaning being stagnant, but

Heroic

On to the final Chopin song that I definitely wanna play: Op 53, Heroic Polonaise! It's gonna be another challenge, tougher than the Fantasie Impromptu for sure! Now that I've gotten the hang of the Fantasie Impromptu, shall spend the time improving it whilst I practice the new song. So far the beginning of it doesn't seem too tough, but the tough part is at the end where the LH plays running octaves... It's gonna be a mega tiring song to master but it sound really majestic! Ever since beginning my exploration of Chopin's pieces, I've always wondered when I'd finish the list of songs that I wanted to learn, and it's about to be completed! With that I'll have a whole repertoire of 8 Chopin's songs I can present to others! :) Well as part of being accountable to everyone, I must admit that my QT as of late has been... Late. Haha well since there's so much to do in a day, Van and I usually start QT extremely late, leading to fatigue and some i

Runs

I'm almost done with the Fantasie Impromptu~! Looking back it seemed almost impossible to complete mastery, with its smooth runs and quick speed. But once your hands get used to it, its actually not that difficult at all! Sometimes if my fingernails are long they get caught in the keys whilst I'm doing the fast running passages, but having no nails makes it easy! Well for now I'm busy with 2 things: first, coordinating attendance for B1G, which is proving to be difficult due to lots of people going overseas during that week. Second, having a meeting to hear from the J2s about their future, how YE can support them, and to chart their future. I'm hoping this session can also be a good time of feedback as to how YE can be improved and to encourage them to come back to serve. :D Well I was pretty much sick the whole of the previous week with a viral infection in my digestive system. It was pretty bad, especially since it disrupted my studying as well as coincided with t

Shakugan

Since my exams ended on Thursday its been a whole mess of rushing around, especially with the leaders 2013 stuff being churned out for YE. There are a whole lot of other stuff that need to be done too, including meeting the J2s and also the assistant leaders... Ah well! Got a look into the world of mixing whilst watching Pitch Perfect with Gihon and Vanessa! Well its the world in which Vanessa is in now, making songs using complex computer systems, and I'm glad I got to see a little glimpse of that. Vanessa herself is making amazing tunes and letting me hear them, and some of them are really really good! Besides that, the other important thing was Jon's birthday celebration, which was today. I usually don't like much fanfare on birthdays (especially my own), but Jon does deserve to be applauded for the effort he puts into organizing Holland Cell activities, and my respect goes to him. Every time I see his work I'm reminded of superheroes working behind the scenes al
