Back to School...

Haha! Coming back to school was great for me. For once I wasn't sleepy. Yeah. Ran a 2.4 trial and clocked in at 11:56mins. My fastest time ever! Haha! Then managed to do 3 pull ups! The dumbbells are real useful! Feeling real good. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up. But then... You'll never know what will happen. Got full marks for lst term's chem prac. Haha! Well. Wing Chung got full marks too. And we were sitting together during the prac. You know what happens when two muggers sit together right? Both get full marks. Haha. Honestly, its the first time I ever got full marks for something in RI. Gabriel brought all the members of the band together on wednesday. So far, its me, him, Guoren and Joash. All of them are real devoted christians. I could tell. I'm glad to be around them, and I think I'm gonna learn a lot of stuff from them. We discussed about our backgrounds and what we did in church, and all of them are in bands in their churches. Its gonna be a bl

Easter...

Saturday was kinda funny. Our instructor made us picture the day of SYF, to see whether we were nervous or not. To tell the truth, I was taking it very seriously. And I found out that somehow being nervous was kinda easy, but it was also easy to supress that emotion. I owe it to playing in church. Somehow, playing for the people you love is much more easier than playing to people you don't know, especially when you're playing for God instead of impressing people or making them enjoy your music. But something worries me... Am I supressing my emotions too much? Never mind about that. Many people do the same thing as me I guess. Sunday... Easter worship was great! Considering we had only 1 and a half hour of practice? I think I screwed up some bass lines, but it was ok for me overall. Its a good job for the second time I'm officially doing the bass for YE. Thanks idol! Yeah... The key to bass is to play it and look good! Haha. Not forgetting glorifying God in the process. Abso

My Very First Pool Session!

Still very tired. Not because I don't have enough sleep. Its because I sleep too much now! Thats why I'm here at this early time of morning BLOGging... Haha. Well... My very first pool session... After the PoP meeting on thursday, me, Paul, Ian, Jon, Gerald and Yan leen went for pool at Ceneleisure. Although it was late and my parents asked me to reach home by 11:00. Bah. Wells. The first game was a double match between me/Paul and Ian/Jon. I had beginners luck. The first two shots I hit, the ball went in. Haha. Then I kept missing after that. We lost cos Paul hit the ball into the wrong pocket or something? I'm not sure. Hah. Played jon once and lost by one ball. Played Yan Leen and lost by 3 balls. Won once and lost twice vs Paul. The first game against Paul, it was 4 balls left for both of us. I hit the black ball into the pocket. I was aiming for the blue ball and then it went in and somehow the black ball did too. Bah. Haha. Paul gave me a chance, and in the end he los

Relaxing...

Hmm.... The trivia results are pretty interesting... To tell the truth, the reason why I put the quiz there was to see who I was neglecting more than the others. But I'm really not sure now after the results came out. Haha. Wells. I only just found out that Daniel Sim from RIGE lived only a few blocks away from me. I've seen the RIGE name list so many times and yet I didn't notice his address. Bah. How blur of me. Haha. Wells. He's living near the hill where the MRT passes through, at block 542. Speaking of the MRT, I've found a nice place to relax and see the scenery. You know the place near the Bukit Gombak Stadium with all the rocks where you can see the MRT platform? That place was shown on Singapore Idol before if you guys still remember. After music class I just felt like being on my own so I went there to sit for awhile. It was so cooling and calm up there, and there was no one around. I just sat there for ages until I noticed it was 7:30. Haha. I felt really

Benlow Trivia

Whoa! Its the last part of the studies on myself, and its the most fun! Yeah! The trivia! All the answers can be found somewhere in my BLOG... So start looking! Haha! Have fun! http://www.quizyourfriends.com/yourquiz.php?quizname=050321215442-4925 Quiz Taken: Shirley! Elaine! Darren! Daryl! Song Hua! Paul! Hmm... Interesting... uh huh... Any more people?

Free!

Its I-Learning! And its great to be free when other people aren't. Haha! Just joking. Don't come and whack me like my cousin did when she heard I had another week of break from school. Haha. Its times like this when I'm happy to be in RI! Yeah! I still got lots of I-Learning stuff to do... So I'm gonna chiong it now! Haha. Philo Essay Geog CDs Physics Plan Thats about it. I finished all my other subjects like CLE, SS, Chem, Bio and Maths early. So hardworking! Haha! Now I've finished part of my Chinese and English. The song "Still" we played for enrolment service has to be one of the best renditions we've ever played! I think... I could feel the holy spirit very very strongly. It went well... After service, went to talk with Shirley. She was quite sick. I was feeling really hot but she was feeling really cold. Then she told me the GB girls all wanted the lyrics for "Still". Haha! Hmm... I think it won't be difficult teaching them new song

Am I Weird or Am I Weird?

Haha. Purposely chose this title for this post. Cos its about my weird habits, my likes and dislikes and some trivial stuff you might wanna know... Its one of the less serious posts in comparison to those like "Who Am I", "Through it all"... I think you'll guys will have fun reading it! Lets start with likes and dislikes! Lets see: Likes: Nothing Dislikes: Nothing You guys will probably be looking at this and saying: "Huh?" Haha. The reason why I don't have likes or dislikes is pretty simple. I find this form of categorization kind of irrelevant to my lifestyle. The way I categorize the stuff in my life is like this: Helpful: .... Not helpful: .... Yeah. I don't find it significant to go and like something, especially if it will fade at the end of it all. Then, the feeling of pain and sadness will be more yeah? I'd rather use something because its useful instead of liking it. Haha! The only thing that I categorize differently are my friends

Planetshakers!

Argh! Argh! Argh! Argh! I'm gonna miss the Planetshakers concert! Argh! And all of the YE people are going today! Argh! No! No! Well... Too bad for me. Who asked me to have so many resposibilities? Haha. Someone tell me about it when you come back from the concert! I'll be waiting online... Genesis Trail was ok... In fact it was one of those times you get to realise more about God. Yeah. Today's practice for Service was ok too. Recieved the songs for next week's easter worship. Its gonna be a blast! Its gonna be real pumped up and powerful so watch out for it! Saw a bit of the script and songs for the concert thingy. Go Jon and Paul! You're doing a great job! When the concert's done, I really hope the BB and GB people start coming to YE! The fourth portion of the studies on myself are due today, so watch out for it! Its about my weird habits and my likes and dislikes. Pretty intersting and funny...

Stuff...

Whoa! 50 pounds for me! Haha! Theory exam was a success! Just made it to the distinction mark, and bagged 50 pounds for myself. I'm gonna save it up to buy a bass guitar... Advanced modules were ok... At least it wasn't as stressful as last year's. I heard they rushed through last year's advance module syllabus. Saw the elephant toothpaste experiment. A mix of manganese oxide and hydrogen peroxide creates soap and Oxygen! Wow. Saw the detrimental effects of pollution on the environment. Its really sad that people die or mutate because of chemical poisoning, all because people are inconsiderate enough to dispose of the waste in a slipshod manner. The time spent on advance module's wasn't wasted! But I have to right a 500 word essay on it... Argh. John's worship session... Well... I'm gonna have to thank him and God. Everything bottled within me for the past few years finally came out in tears. All the sadness, all the pain, all the hate and fear I kept to

Bass Rocks!

Yeah! Its official! I'm gonna be rostered for the bass soon! Yeah! Alright! Thanks Tim, I should have told you earlier actually. Shouldn't have waited till you asked... Thank you God for giving me this oppotunity to do stuff for you as well as pursue my interests... Wells, guitar practice was ok. I think bass chords are really important. It brings out the depth and width of the music. Hammer ons are important as well. It shows the technique of the guitarist. I think we have a real strong guitar section in YE! Although its only 3 people, these people are good, and they have styles of their own. Tim focuses on style, Rachel focuses on consistency, and I focus on rhythm. I think its a great combo! What if all 3 of us play for the evangelistic concert thingy? I think it'll be great. Haha! Oh Yeah... Tim said that since his camp, Rach's house and my house are quite near to each other, maybe we could have practice at someone's house? Hm... "You don't know me, but

Irritable...

Hm... Champs League update: Real Madrid Lost to Juventus by an aggregate of 2-1, Arsenal lost to Bayern Munich by an aggregate of 3-2, Liverpool won Bayer Leverkusen by an aggregate of 6-2 and PSV win Monaco with an aggregate of 3-0. So, Chelsea, AC, Lyon, Juventus, Bayern, Liverpool, and PSV are through. Theres still a match between PSG and Porto left, and it'll be played next week... The Guitar door spoilt. So did the Guitaron. So did the CO's Yangqin. So did the CO's Tambourine. So did the Rocker's Band. I'm kinda getting angry over all these weird happenings. Why does stuff always have to spoil all at once. Argh. Tried repairing the door and nearly got the key stuck inside. Argh. I notice that I'm getting really irritated by minor stuff. Like the time in the lab when I accidentally spilled Lead Iodide on my pants. Now its stained yellow. Argh. I think its because of the not enough sleep thing again. I'm not usually so easily irritable. Almost everyone in

Genus 2005

Genus Concert went just fine... NUS Guitar Ensemble is really proded! I want to be like that! Lets see... The guitars I want to master are Acoustic, Bass and Classical! Yeah. Actually this year's Genus concert was a bit interesting. They played a Japanese song and some jazz, but most pieces were classical. The Alto runs were really fast. I could tell that the Guitaron player was good too... Saw Josh there! He was there with his HCJCGE Friends. He was sitting in the row in front of mine. Slept on the bus today and missed the loop. Haha. Well. Had to alight, cross the street and take the bus again. And theres this ulcer right in the middle of my middle lip. It hurts whenever I eat something. But I need my food... Ow. I think the heatiness I get from sleeping less hours caused the ulcer. Looking forward to I-Learning. Can sleep more. Haha. Champions League was crazy. I woke up and went to school to hear the results. ManU Lost 2-0 on aggregate to Ac Milan. Barcelona lost to Chelsea 4-5

Who Am I?

Haha! This is the third part of the studies on myself, about personality! Yeah. To find out about someone's personality, what better way to do it than: Personality Tests! I sat for two of them, the MBTI and the VP Test. Results are as follows: MBTI The EI Scale - Where do you prefer to focus your attention? Choice - I for Introversion People who prefer Introversion focus more on their inner world. When you are introverting, you are energized by what goes on in your inner world, and this is where you tend to direct your own energy. Introverts tend to be more interested and comfortable when they can work quietly without interruption. They like to understand the world before experiencing it, and so need time to reflect before acting. My Comments: Hm... Quite True... Uh huh. Quite accurate. The SN Scale - How do you acquire information, or find out about things? Choice - N for Intuition Intuition shows you the meanings, relationships, and possibilities that go beyond the information fr

Drained

Ouch... Super Drained. Tired. I feel that I'm not getting enough sleep. I think I'll stop BLOGing in the morning for a few days. Its affecting my QT too. Its affecting my church time too. In fact, its affecting everything. Haha. So this is the last post I'll make in the mornings. Until I get my rest. Well, I feel the only time I'm happy is in church. Although I'm doing well else where, all I feel is a sense of nothingness. I'm not happy or at peace with myself. Not at school, not at home, not at practice. Just wish Sundays would last forever. Well... Half day today! Haha. Assembly then PE. So slack! Thanks to Rachel, Mel and Ernest who have talked to me this week. Although I was tired, I enjoyed our conversations. Found something called RPG Maker XP, thanks to Eugene. It helps people make their own RPG Game! Thats real fun. Well, anybody interested? Haha... Well, wnat to know the reason why I BLOG and do QT in the mornings? You'll probably laugh when you hea

RIGE Orientation...

RIGE Orientation... Woo Hoo! Yay! Alright! We finally did some stuff the seniors before us couldn't: Organise a successful Orientation for Sec1s that was knda interesting! Haha. Got some good insights into the new batch, and also about my friends in the RIGE. There were some down points for me too though... The good stuff first... My station came out great! Haha! Yeah! Alright! Yay! There were some good actors among the people... Especially group 5. Eugene was really funny! The War Games was fun... Yay Land! We made them do forfeits. Haha. Something like the Punjabi Erotic Dance, the RIGE Dance, passing potato chips via mouth, telling jokes.... Got to know one of the boarder's cats better. Haha. Wonder which boarder it belongs to. Cadiz and Wave improved a lot. I think its a gold! Managed to get Jeremy interested in Revelations, showed him the bible. Too bad the Sec1s and 2s came in and interrupted... Scored 4 times in 5 matches in under 30 mins. Haha! Touted as the Van Nistelr

Busy March...

You guys don't know this, but theres a certain trait that is kinda similar to my mom... We both have a real strong intuition. Dunno why... Been having a feeling thats kinda of weird, something like a sense of foreboding... Something tells me that I'm gonna have to make an important decision that may hurt people no matter what I choose. And I have to make this decision in the near future... Weird huh? Wednesday morning while I was doing QT, something told me to go look at Proverbs 4:20. Dunno what. But the verses were about how to live a godly and sinless life. I'll use those verses... Definitely. But I wonder... Why did God ask me to look at these verses? Dunno. Really busy this month... Lets see... 12th - Guitar Practice in Church 13th - Piano Workshop - Score Reading 14th and 15th - Chem Advance Modules 15th - John's Worship thingy 18th - Genesis Trail 19th - Class Performance for Piano 19th - Practice for Service 21st to 25th - I Learning Hmm... did I miss anything o

Hmm...

Yo Amanda! In case you were wondering, the guy in RIGE with the same tuition class as you... Well, his name's Daniel Sim! Uh huh... Yo Shu! You got my birthday from Mel right? Haha... Ok. Anyways, I'm glad for all my gal friends in church! They're so fun and nice... Went to catch insects for bio lesson today... Got a few ants, a small ladybug, and a yellow butterfly. Had to mark them with nail polish... Haha. Wonder what would happen if there were girls doing the same activity? They would be screaming cos of the bugs, and then using the nail polish... Haha. Sorry about that. Just had that funny thought. Gabriel came up to me and asked whether I wanted to be the bassist for a band! I was trying to hide my excitement. Haha! Hope they choose me when the band is actually formed. I just realised that I'm one of the small number of people in school who knows the bass... That cos people think the bass plays a minor part, playing the accompaniment and all... Oh Yeah... I couldn
