Board Games!

Over the past few months I've been having a sort of new hobby that really helps me destress quite a bit! Anime is good and all but I gain satisfaction in sort of working my brain out. So board games have become quite a good form of destress! Partially its the immersion in a whole new world and social part of it, but my brain enjoys a good workout. Have gotten a stash of board games, nothing that can rival Paul's but its slowly building up. So far I've got: Mansions of Madness - a thematic horror story-telling adventure kind of game in which one person (always me) plays the "bad guy" Pandemic - a work together versus the board game to save the world from diseases kinda thing Small World - a Risk-like every man for himself area grabbing game with special powers thrown in Dead of Winter - a zombie apocalypse survivor game that's quite like the real deal but in board game form I'm sort of a completionist also so I'll grab all the expansions for eac

Genkai

And so I'm 26! It was a great day, with some celebrations done with Van and my colleagues at my work place! Kudos to Van to springing cute surprises my way! Majority of it was positive, but upon reflection, this birthday was rather bittersweet. Most importantly whilst I was enjoying the day for what it was it made me realize the extent that I had pushed my body, mind and spirit until. As much as I enjoyed today I realized I could have enjoyed it to its fullest if I were fully invested in it. And this made me think about how my body, mind and spirit has been stretched without rest. The awareness of a lack of a time to rest in God came to its full revelation, and this has been the issue for the past few months of life. I need to make a decision to return back to God's rest and unfortunately this means one thing that I've held back in doing for a long time - leaving the youth ministry. Given how it is going for me I don't see any other options to free up more time for

1 Year

Hi all, its been half a year since this blog was updated and I'm starting to understand the part it played in my life: an outlet of reflection and understanding my inner self. It seems that only through journaling do my inner most thoughts and emotions come to the forefront. Its high time I re-kindle that and so here I am. I just hope that I can sustain this despite work. First off, just over the weekend I completed my IPPT, 63 points = Pass with incentive. Despite not training for my running I'm glad I managed to complete the run without stopping, albeit with a timing less than satisfactory - 13+ minutes. The surprising part is how even despite that I still managed to get 63 points. I suppose training with push up and sit ups have been useful! Very thankful to God for pulling me through that. The other thing is that I've reached 1 year of service at my company, and I'm still very pleased and happy to be with the organization I'm at. June was very difficult, wit

3 Things

Well as the new year sets in its time once again for the obligatory New Year's post! 2014 has been a very rewarding year with lots of change, most significantly the transition into my new job and taking up new responsibilities, as a resulting having to rework lots of my daily schedule. Some parts of change have been welcome, and others not so easy. 2014 has been a rather moderate kind of year filled with ups and downs. Definitely more challenging than many of the previous years I've had but by no means bad. Well this year I've decided to do it in a 3 bad stuff and 3 good stuff format kinda thingy so here goes. THE GOOD: 1. Job Satisfaction Boy when I was searching for my job at the end of graduating I had no idea what it would be like, and my job definitely blew all my prior expectations out of the window in a great way. The satisfaction at the job is phenomenal when people come up to you and thank you personally, the environment is great, the colleagues are
