Our Fire...

Looks like I've taken a short unplanned break from blogging. Well, with a good reason of course. Getting ready for a concert is no joke. As a result, I've got lots of things left over, one of them being blogging. As customary, I shall post my current to do list.

2. Maths Assign
3. Chem Tut (Electrochem)

Soccer

Gerald came over yesterday with lots of food: satay, rojak and chicken wings. *Drools* Nah he didn't come to celebrate anything with me and my family. He just came to watch the Chelsea vs Man U match with us!

It was pretty ok I guess. I'd predicted that it'd go into penalties, but I guess I was inaccurate. Cos Chelsea scored in the 2nd half of extra time with 5 mins to spare to ascertain victory. There was a lot of comedy in the house last night, cos Gerald was a Man U supporter, and my bros purposely suanned Man U and supported Chelsea just so they could argue with Gerald haha.

Final Score: Chelsea 1 Man U 0
Chelsea win Carling Cup and FA Cup
Man U win Premiership title

Bet you guys haven't seen this sub-heading for a long long time. Yeah we took quite a long break after concert. About 5 weeks to be exact. The only way we've met up was probably informally along some of the corridors in school.

So I was pretty glad that we came together on Tuesday just for a time of prayer and fellowship. It was wonderful. A void in my heart filled up. Over the past few weeks I've felt quite empty spiritually. Yes, I've been praying and doing my QT, but without good fellow Christians to affirm you and strengthen you it feels... Inadequate.

Thats the true spirit of fellowship, bringing your friend closer to Christ and not stumbling him/her. Coupled with Bible Study, Worship, Evangelism and Prayer, nothing is impossible!

YE

The past few days have been pretty intesting... The GuysAtYEs (GAYs) decided to go down to Settler's Cafe somewhere near Holland Village to test it out. FYI, Settler's Cafe is a special and unique concept based cafe. What makes it different from other cafes? Simple. You can rent board games and play time while snacking and drinking your choice of beverage. Mmm chocolate sprite float.

Yeah so me and 5 other GAYs (Paul, Jon, Martin, Joseph, Benedict) played a couple of rounds of one of the games. (I don't know the name of it though) Halfway through the second round our time was up. Argh I would've won soon if we didn't have to stop halfway. Yeah but it was my fault. I overslept and came late heh. (Post concert sleep haha)

Ok... Now for the reason I overslept. Went out for supper with Gerald and Rach after concert. Rach was at RProject, and Gerald came to watch the concert! Gerald's comments: He was super impressed with Ling Ting, and he liked Pan Man! All glory to God, I think LT will agree. =)

Yeah so we went somewhere in Bukit Timah to have supper (for me) and dinner (for them). Talked about lots of things regarding YE. (Actually Gerald did more talking than both of us) My thoughts were really jumbled up. The joy from the concert, the sadness from the concert, and the constant nagging feeling that something had to be done in YE was all running in my head. Still need to sort it out. Probably will do that during the next blog post.

Worship team meeting... I hope it was fruitful! We've got to learn to be good facilitators, musicians, team members, and most importantly, messengers of God. The first three are pretty much admin side, but the last one is especially important. Every single thing we do in front of our peers shows others who we are inside, and what God means to us. So beware of spreading the wrong values to others. Before acting, think and pray. Even when we're having fellowship.

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Vox Humana

497th post. Its been a rather pleasant weekend, filled with Gihon and worship stuff. Really enjoyed myself baking with Gihon. Wished we could've taken a vid of everyone for Youth Day... Probably will have to meet them one day to film them haha. Probably will organise a homework doing session for them to complete everything before the hols end. Well Father's Day celebrations today went quite well... Only had a couple of hours to practise for the hoedown, and practise for the worship went comparatively better than the prac during camp. It was my first time playing piano/organ/keys/trumpets/vox for worship, and I'm glad it went ok, and I did it with God. Driving test is on friday... Not too worried about it, and also have no prob with failing it actually. Taking it easy, but hoping for good news. I guess its the peace that transcends all understanding thats taking over. And the most important thing for me for this test is not whether I pass or fail, but whether God was with me
