YE

For the first time in quite awhile, I got to play acoustic for worship! It was really quite an enjoyable experience, and the song choices were really good IMO. Kudos to Mel for that. After the slight disappointment on Friday it was really a great breather. I had fun at worship prac, and for the first time this year, prac was in the morning, which gave us sometime after for lunch.
Some people from the worship team travelled down to JEC and had an awesome lunch at Pizza Hut, and had a great time of fellowship in the process. The people are...

Shaunald! Keyboardist that week.

Mark! Backup singer, expert pen twirler and choir person!

My bro Daryl, up and coming electric guitarist!

We ate lots of baked rice and waited on hour++ for our food. It wasn't exactly a waste of time cos of the company. Shaunald says lots of funny things, and I think most YE people will agree. Looking forward to more worship lunches like this one! We should have these kind of things before/after pracs.

Leisure

Looking for a low maintenance game that only needs 10 mins of your time each day? I have a great solution for you. There is a game on the net that takes less than 10 mins of gameplay, yet reaps large dividends.

The solution: tribal wars! The interactive strategy and battle game!

www.tribalwars.net

I've been playing since last week, and from 116 points, I have increased my point tally to 349! Awesome. And I'm slowly climbing up the ranking list of my tribe. Mr Wong, Azrin, Mie, Alan, Kenny are all in the tribe and I'm learning from them. All I need to do is once I get home is just to issue one command and leave the game system to do its work. In the mean time I can mug, sleep, listen to songs and talk with people online. Pretty good huh?

S03H

Well, from recent GP lessons, I realised I'm quite a biased person. But well, its not in a bad way. On Tuesday we did a short quiz or survey on what stereotypes we conform to. The lower your score, the less biased you are. So my final score was 22/41, meaning I'm quite unfair to certain groups of people. (Homos and people of other religions in my case)

Only two people from our class 'passed the test', as in got more than 20. Just me and Zheng. And I'm the second most biased person in the class after Zheng. But I don't think its a really bad thing. Cos it just shows that I'm living true to my values in life, and not turning to the left or the right.

In civics we learnt that to hold on to what you believe was important. In my case, what I felt most important are my friends, family, and especially God. And through the survey I could see my refusal to accept other religions, as well as homosexuality, two of the things that my God has told me to do. And I'm proud of it.

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Ride On

Recently things have been going really well. I've had a leadership position in my workplace for almost one year now and it is quite amazing how God has guided throughout the way. Despite this I feel that I have achieved the balance between my work, personal life and I'm in some sort of a flow that makes me satisfied about how things are going. I'm about to transition to another stage of it, and it feels that along the way God has prepared me each and every step. There's a lot to give thanks for.  Things are really cruising along. I've always liked a good, smooth drive and life feels that way at the moment. Its been a long time along a bumpy road but finally things feel right.  Praise be to God who calms the raging seas. Praise be to God who can be counted on for the hardest difficulties in life.  Not sure when the next post be, but I think if things carry on the way they are, more good posts are to come.
