Itsuka Wakariaeru Kara!

Leisure

Bleach! Well have been watching the past few days (you can't mug all the time, right?) and I've enjoyed it thoroughly. Just finished the Soul Society arc in time for the CTs. In my opinion Bleach isn't as heart wrenching as Naruto in terms of values learnt, but it has a storyline that flows with the present age, it has cool characters, cool techniques, cool evil people and a cool way people learn techniques. Not to mention absolutely stunning visuals and starting and ending themes.

Absolutely love all the songs from Bleach, and if anyone has them in MP3 format could you send them to me? Heres some part of the lyrics of one of them. If you think these lyrics are good, plus the music the song is 100 times better. Go check it out.

Intro

ienai itami, kanashimi no kizutsuita kimi yo
You've been hurt by unspeakable pain and sadness
kesenai koto mo seoiattekou
Let's carry each other's undeletable stains
ikuru koto nagedasanaide
Don't give up living!
tsunaida, kimi no te o
I held your hand

Verse

itsuka ushinatte shimau no kana
Will I end up losing them some day?
usurete yuku egao to kimi o mamoritai kana
I want to protect you and your fading smile, so...
hibiku boku o youbu kae sae kare
Even if the resounding voice calling me should wither
tokesou kaze ni kikasaretatte
Even if the mingling winds should tell me...
kimi o mitsukedasu
I will find you!

Chorus

ienai itami, kanashimi no kizutsuita kimi yo
You've been hurt by unspeakable pain and sadness
waraenai nante, hito kirai nante kotoba sou iwanaide
But don't say things like "I can't laugh" or "I hate people"
mienai mirai ni okoru koto subete ni imi ga aru kara
There's meaning in everything that happens in the unseen future
ima wa sono mama de ii, kitto kizukeru toki ga kure darou
So stay as you are now, I know there'll come a time where you'll realise it
You and me, two are spoken
itsuka wakariaeru kara
Someday we'll understand each other

Pretty sweet right? Go hear the actual song. Even better, watch Bleach on youtube haha.

Hmm you guys must be wondering, why does this guy have time to watch bleach? Well, its cos of my study methods. The way I do it is to set quotas for revision for each day. For example... Today I want to finish this this this topic for this subject. A good way to do this is take note of how much you can cram before your marginal returns start to decrease. In other words, take note of the law of diminishing marginal returns. Then mug at your optimum output. So once you've finished your quota, stop mugging! Or you may risk overcramming, and you won't be able to remember some parts of the info you need. Have a bit of rest, k?

To make sure you finish mugging everything on time, cos this quota method can be quite slow, set aside time early, like 1 month in advance and everyday mug your quota of topics. You should finish on time, cos there are only about 9 + 17 + 13 + 17 topics in total so far. (If you take BCME like me) If you don't, most likely you have less topics than me. A rate of 2 topics per day should be just nice.

I find it useful, and you guys can try if you want. See whether it works for you! Just a few suggestions for any upcoming exams. Sorry for coming up with this so late haha.

YE

Missed the ECP outing on Thursday, cos I hadn't finished with my quota for that day. Grr bio. So made up for it by visiting Gerald on Friday while he was sick. As usual we played Mahjong again, and this time I ended up third. Gerald won, and Daryl got second. Nothing really special happened, but I took a few photos of one of his dogs Triple.

On Sunday it was a good(ness) day. Quite excited about Apocalypse Now! The evangelistic event that'll be happening on the 7th of April. Can't wait to learn more about revelations. So one announcement for today!

APOCALYPSE NOW...
Death, Famine, Pestilence, War!
What will happen in the end times?
Will there be a saviour?
Will we suffer?
Find your answers on 7th April, Sentosa, as we form teams and race to different checkpoints to reveal more about the book of Revelations, and the second coming of Christ!
Those who wanna come, tag the board, or approach any member of YE.

On a seperate note... Gah I'm half blind again. Remind me never to keep with my glasses on. And Martin is some Cluedo pro!

Family

Haha Darren's finally back from OBS, and like me, he didn't get any insect bites or any major sunburns. Wonder why... We must have anti-sandfly, anti-mosquito, anti-sun genes or something. He had so much fun that he wants to go back there for a 21 day course sometime. And now he's seemingly more black than Daryl. Those who differentiate them by skin colour... Its time to look a bit more closely haha.

All the best for CTs!

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Ride On

Recently things have been going really well. I've had a leadership position in my workplace for almost one year now and it is quite amazing how God has guided throughout the way. Despite this I feel that I have achieved the balance between my work, personal life and I'm in some sort of a flow that makes me satisfied about how things are going. I'm about to transition to another stage of it, and it feels that along the way God has prepared me each and every step. There's a lot to give thanks for.  Things are really cruising along. I've always liked a good, smooth drive and life feels that way at the moment. Its been a long time along a bumpy road but finally things feel right.  Praise be to God who calms the raging seas. Praise be to God who can be counted on for the hardest difficulties in life.  Not sure when the next post be, but I think if things carry on the way they are, more good posts are to come.
