where was I?

Hmmm... I met two new people in class! One of them transfered from a BCMG class, his name is Qing Yuan, and another I'm not really sure, but I know her name is Charissa. Welcome to S03H! Hope you're having an awesome time with the funny people in the class. Hmmm... Did the medicine ball thing with Qing Yuan during PE on Thursday, and played cards with Charissa, Lawrence and Azrin on Friday. So thats how I got to know both of them a bit better.

FYI... A edited the front part of the post, cos I got Qing Yuan's name wrong. Always get it mixed up. Haha. Either Quan Yong, Yuan Qing or Yong Quan. Hahah. My mistake. Will try not to make it again although my memory is failing. Haha.

Hmmm... Wednesday and Thursday ended early, and I was pretty glad about that. At least I had time to rest and prepare for the guitar camp on Friday. Spent the time playing games on my new comp! HP games. Like Insaniquarium, Mahjong Quest, Bejeweled etc etc. Haha. Starting to get addicted. But luckily all of the games are 1 hour trial versions so they disappear in an hours time. Haha.

Friday was the day of the guitar camp, and it was really fun. My group name was Animato, which means Animated. Duh. We started off with an Icebreaker Session. Got to know more people, espeically those from my group. Song Xia, Shaun, Qing Qing, Shu Hui, Sabrina, Jon Chua, Aditi etc etc. Animato rocks! After that we had dinner and proceeded for station games at night. We were blindfolded and led around school to various stations. After that it was bath time then bridge playing time! There wasn't any cut off time for sleep so we played till about 3am. And then I stacked a few tables together and fell straight to sleep.

Woke up in the middle of the morning feeling really really cold. So took my sleeping bag and slept on the floor instead. The next morning we had breakfast, then had bar hunt. That means doing tasks to get bars of a song, which we were supposed to perform for the end. We did lots of fun stuff like counting the number of benches in the canteen, counting the number of cubicles near the PAC etc. In the end, the song we got was... Tong Hua! The best song out of the lot. And we played it for finale, and the camp ended. I'm glad a got to know more people in guitar. Not only the guys, but the gals as well.

Saturday was pretty much ok. Went for the Genus concert, which wasn't as good as last years concert. The songs were pretty much the same genre, and wasn't as vibrant and exciting as previous years. The band involved lots of instruments, but none of the techincal power of the instruments was truly brought out. Overall it was kinda normal for me, nothing special.

Sunday... YE. Message was really funny. Like the way Aunty Elma presented her opinion. And the topic was dating. Haha. Well, I kinda agree with her. I'm not gonna be in a steady relationship till I'm ready for it. Which would probably be 22 and beyond. So if any of you are interested, you'll have to wait. HAHA. Well, the most important thing in a relationship is that God should be in the middle of it, not your partner. Yup.

Went for pool after that with Paul and Rach. Well... Was on a hit the black ball into the hole streak. So ended up with this scoreline...

Me 0 Paul 2
Me 0 Rach 2

Feeling kind lazy now. Don't feel like writing down the scores for the recent matches. Soccermugger no more? Don't think so... Here are the scores!

Birmingham 1 West Brom 1
Chelsea 2 Tottenham 1
Bolton 4 West Ham 1
Everton 3 Fulham 1
Portsmouth 2 Man City 1
Sunderland 0 Wigan 1
Blackburn 2 Aston Villa 0
Man U 2 Newcastle 0
Charlton 2 Middlesbrough 1
Arsenal 2 Liverpool 1

Thats all from me! Have a good holiday!

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Vox Humana

497th post. Its been a rather pleasant weekend, filled with Gihon and worship stuff. Really enjoyed myself baking with Gihon. Wished we could've taken a vid of everyone for Youth Day... Probably will have to meet them one day to film them haha. Probably will organise a homework doing session for them to complete everything before the hols end. Well Father's Day celebrations today went quite well... Only had a couple of hours to practise for the hoedown, and practise for the worship went comparatively better than the prac during camp. It was my first time playing piano/organ/keys/trumpets/vox for worship, and I'm glad it went ok, and I did it with God. Driving test is on friday... Not too worried about it, and also have no prob with failing it actually. Taking it easy, but hoping for good news. I guess its the peace that transcends all understanding thats taking over. And the most important thing for me for this test is not whether I pass or fail, but whether God was with me
