Narcissistic Exhibitionism

Well guys... 1 more week and a couple more days left to the first few papers of the Prelims. Oddly, I feel no stress at all. Everything is in His hands.

This week's civics was about career choice. My choice is really obvious, and I've already planned for it, as well as the alternatives should I fail or should God choose for me to go somewhere else. Medicine, here I come. Pathology here I come. PSC Open Med Scholarship here I come. God bless this path I have chosen. May He see my desire and work through me for His own glory.

One thing I was exceptionally glad about the lesson was the Mr Wong sat with me and Chris and asked us about our aspirations. Chris's desire to be in banking seems pretty good for him I think. And Mr Wong asked me a couple of questions any interviewer would ask an interviewee for med. And I was really glad that I could answer from the depths of my heart. It just showed me that I was prepared enough to answer anything that the panel of interviewers would ask.

Had my first try at tuition in a long long time. Got aunty Elma to come over and help with my econs and gp. What I wanted out of the sessions was basically to troubleshoot compos/compres, ask questions about econs and get a large list of relevant jargon and examples to use in my essays, and that was exactly what I got. I just hope I don't blank out and forget to spice up my essay with all the nice expressions.

Aunty Elma's such a nice person IMO. And she's very knowledgable and good at spotting questions. Anyone interested in asking her to tutor you? Let me know.

Gerald came over to help with my jigsaw puzzle, enjoy my mom's cooking and chill out. The jigsaw is almost completed! And its looking very nice. Thanks Gerald. I think he's gonna be quite busy from today onwards, cos he just went to fetch his clients from the airport. He's gonna have to entertain them and stuff. I found it really great that he still commited himself to worship despite his other commitments. Thats something I will strive to do as well.

Today's worship prac was sweet IMO. I gave up 5 hours of my time just for practise, and I believe that God sees my sacrifice. Whatever I give to Him, He will bless and return. Its a really big privilege to lead people into a time of worship, and I'm not gonna give it up.

If Tim wants to take me off the roster for Sep or Oct I will beg him until he lets me back on it. Cos its because of God that I study in the first place, and I will continue to place Him above everything else. Forsaking the opportunity to get closer to Him for my studies is not gonna be an option for me. That is the choice I have made.

GP Essay Question:

"Blogging is nothing more than a form of narcissistic exhibitionism." To what extent do you agree with this statement?

A: God comes first when I blog. When I do anything for that matter. Full stop.

I feel bad when I can't write this in my GP essay and pass satisfactorily. Aww man. But it should be something we all believe. Although we have exams, lets put Him first yes? Commit everything to Him through prayer, and all the stress will disappear.

All the best everyone! And take care.

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Ride On

Recently things have been going really well. I've had a leadership position in my workplace for almost one year now and it is quite amazing how God has guided throughout the way. Despite this I feel that I have achieved the balance between my work, personal life and I'm in some sort of a flow that makes me satisfied about how things are going. I'm about to transition to another stage of it, and it feels that along the way God has prepared me each and every step. There's a lot to give thanks for.  Things are really cruising along. I've always liked a good, smooth drive and life feels that way at the moment. Its been a long time along a bumpy road but finally things feel right.  Praise be to God who calms the raging seas. Praise be to God who can be counted on for the hardest difficulties in life.  Not sure when the next post be, but I think if things carry on the way they are, more good posts are to come.
