Rivers In The Desert Will I See

Brains full of econs stuff... Can't think straight! Just realised today the consumption function doesn't equal to AE. Its a wonder how I managed to get past so many weeks of econs lessons without realising. And after the latest session of money I finally know what 'hot money' and 'capital inflow' is and its due to an increase in interest rate. I think.

Oh well.

Grad night stuff is settled! Really glad about the people in my table. Its a mixture of 3H and 6S people... And I know most of em from random places. Out of 12 people 8 are from 3H (which I feel a bit guilty about) the rest of them are Jon Chua from GE, Trixie from Leonard's OG, Bel from Glimpse of Glory and SV. Looking forward to meeting the last person!

Wondering what I'm gonna be wearing. Definitely not something formal. Maybe the same thing I wore for the Christmas celebration with YE last year? We'll see. Exciting!

YE

Whoa... Here we come! Here we come!

FOP was great. That was an understatement. It was beautiful, marvelous, awesome, splendid, awe inspiring, refreshing to say the least. My heart was in the clouds, with the one I loved: God. Nothing else mattered. He gave me the greatest gift I could ever get... Reassurance that miracles were possible, reassurances that my life would be great no matter what the circumstances.

Before this I was really worried about getting into med, getting a scholarship for it, and getting all the personal portfolio things done. But things have started to come into place piece by piece. And now I can truly say that the Lord is more than enough for me. The worries have all gone, and I'm confident no matter what happens, God will be by my side. Even if I do fail in getting a scholarship, I fail in getting into med... I will not grieve, for He is eternal.
Looking at all the YE people's blogs and reading about how they've been touched by FOP really encouraged me. Each story is different, filled with something miraculous, and filled with each person's love to God. Use this as a platform! Let the passion continue burning bright for Him. Go forth into your schools and touch the lives of your friends, just as Jesus has touched you.

Heaven and Earth will fade
But His love will still remain
He will do something new today!

Pics!!! Hmm this may seem a bit ego but forgive me... This is the very first time I've taken photos of all the gifts I've gotten for my birthday. I found it quite saddening that I couldn't even remember what was given to me last year. So I've decided to keep it all in pic form so I can remember, and give thanks for whatever I have.

This really amuses me. Its from Bethea by the way.

Soup at Jack's Place. Great.

Black Pepper Steak. *Droolsss*

An early present I got. Finished it in a couple of hours over two days. Lots of comments... But I'll keep them to myself.

Pretty flower! Yee Ying picked it for me. Yes I think I know whats going through your mind Leonard. KoL? Got the trophy already. (Sorry if you guys don't get it. Only people playing Kingdom of Loathing will understand. Go wiki it if you want to find out more.)

Slacker shoes! Daryl chose em... But of course he didn't pay for it, my parents did. His taste is really good. Colour suits what I usually wear (=blue). Goes well with my sling bag.

Packet of sweets from Hazel and Sherill! I've eaten most of them except the bananas and false teeth.

Thank you, S03H. I love you all. Looking forward to spending tomorrow afternoon with you guys at the Ramen Quest and Mahjong heh.

Thank you Gerald. This book was given at a real apt time.

Last but not least... Thank you Eunice! You've given me the best gift a human being could ever give me. You've understood the reason why I keep this blog, you've understood my posts, and you've understood me as a person. I'm sorry I didn't return the gift... But don't worry, I will, face to face. Next time you visit here, leave a tag k? I love you too! =)

So in conclusion what I wanna say is... Thank you so much. To everyone. One day, when the memories of this age are all gone... I will look back at this, smile, and feel blessed. God bless!

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Ride On

Recently things have been going really well. I've had a leadership position in my workplace for almost one year now and it is quite amazing how God has guided throughout the way. Despite this I feel that I have achieved the balance between my work, personal life and I'm in some sort of a flow that makes me satisfied about how things are going. I'm about to transition to another stage of it, and it feels that along the way God has prepared me each and every step. There's a lot to give thanks for.  Things are really cruising along. I've always liked a good, smooth drive and life feels that way at the moment. Its been a long time along a bumpy road but finally things feel right.  Praise be to God who calms the raging seas. Praise be to God who can be counted on for the hardest difficulties in life.  Not sure when the next post be, but I think if things carry on the way they are, more good posts are to come.
