Break?

Hey guys... Sorry for the longgggg break in posting. My two bros are having exams one after another, and well, my parents don't really let us use the com during exam periods. Thus the long break. Forgive me haha.

Hmmm... Feel like having a longer break from blogging actually. I started blogging with a purpose, but I guess since that purpose is already fufilled, the only reason I'm blogging now is to let you guys know how I'm doing. Some of you guys see me only once a week, some of you guys seldom have the chance to talk to me. So yup.

Another reason why I wanna stop is cos I realised that I've been making promises on my blog which I never keep. Like when I promised to post photos, promised to create a song chooser thingy, promised to blog about my class. Oh well I'm kinda disappointed in myself for not keeping those promises to all my awesome friends out there. Well forgive me again haha.

From here on... I'll just give weekly updates when it comes to a few aspects of my life...

1. Church
2. School
3. Guitar
4. Rock
5. Piano
6. Family
7. Friends
8. Leisure (this includes soccer duh)

Actually I'm already doing what I stated above. So I guess this is kinda redundant haha. Oh well. On to more important stuff.

Well... After a short break from bassing, I finally came back to play for Rach's worship in YE. The songs were kinda fun, and guess what? My bro got to play the guitar for offetory. I think he did an ok job, considering it was his first time in the worship team.

Went for BS after that, and I was the only person who did his Masterlife. Haha. Well, but I guess everyone learnt a bit from BS about prayer. Outside... Everyone was playing THE GAME that Ernest brought to church. Quite fun actually. Went for main service worship, then went for lunch with Rach. When I came back a few of the YE people were still playing THE GAME. Haha wanna know more about THE GAME? Ask Ernest.

Hmmm... Schools going on quite ok. I'm getting really good at Chem and Maths, but my GP, Econs and Bio don't seem as well. Need more revision and mugging I guess. And my IMCB attachment is coming up on Wk 10 Wed to Fri, so I guess I'll be missing GP Common Test. Which I guess, is quite good haha. And the chinese chess craze is spreading through my class... Samuel and Kevin you tricky boys...

Guitar pracs haven't started again yet, but I've been meeting up with the exco and discussing stuff. Most importantly... The JC2 farewell lunch thingy! Yup we've gotten the souvenirs somewhat ready, and we're planning the food and stuff like that. All you RJGE J2s out there, look out! We're coming to get you haha. Also, we're gonna meet our instructor Gaspar sometime soon. I'm supposed to coordinate the meeting together with Chin Heng. Yup.

Hmmm... My scales are improving! Though not in the expected time yet. The A piece is mastered, only B and C are left. I'm still working on my aural and sight reading though. Looking forward to getting my Grade 8 exam over and done with...

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Taiwan: Touch Your Heart

Finally gone on a trip that I really paid attention to haha. Most other overseas trips were pretty much a blur, but because I took the effort to pay attention and get involved in it, it was a lot more rewarding than previous trips. Unlike most other trips, this one was absolutely delicious every single day. Singaporeans I've asked have had mixed reactions to the food there... But my family's the more adventurous kind; as long as it looks good and smells good, eat it! Feels quite like a family motto haha. We enjoyed all the street food immensely, and didn't even end up with a single stomach ache. Thank God for strong stomachs. The place I enjoyed the most was the Geopark at Yehliu... A must go for geog students for sure. All sorts of natural wonders. Spits, bars, tombolos, cliffs, evidence of weathering, rock formations - the best place for a geog geek to do a project, or photo buffs to take nice pictures of scenery. Here are some nice ones: Besides the geopark, we went to t

Ride On

Recently things have been going really well. I've had a leadership position in my workplace for almost one year now and it is quite amazing how God has guided throughout the way. Despite this I feel that I have achieved the balance between my work, personal life and I'm in some sort of a flow that makes me satisfied about how things are going. I'm about to transition to another stage of it, and it feels that along the way God has prepared me each and every step. There's a lot to give thanks for.  Things are really cruising along. I've always liked a good, smooth drive and life feels that way at the moment. Its been a long time along a bumpy road but finally things feel right.  Praise be to God who calms the raging seas. Praise be to God who can be counted on for the hardest difficulties in life.  Not sure when the next post be, but I think if things carry on the way they are, more good posts are to come.
