ogay...

Well guys... Feeling kinda great now after surviving another hectic week. This time I'm not so tired. Got enough sleep, instead of logging on every other night I went to sleep. And I wanna thank the teachers for being really understanding. Thanks.

You know what? I managed to pull off an April Fools joke... Even without meeting much people. Just go to the rjge blog and you'll see. The address is www.rjge.blogspot.com. I think it was really convincing cos there was a bit of truth mixed in. I haven't gone for the past 2 pracs because of other commitments. Yup.

It was the usual kinda week, with RJGE pracs on Mondays and Wednesdays, and RR practises on Tuesdays and Fridays. Won't elaborate on both pracs, cos I have decided to keep everything confidential so that I can suprise you guys on the concert days itself. There was a new turn of events in RJGE, which lead to me being included in the... Guess yourself.

Tuesday. Went to play X Box at X Square in my CVs before Raffles Rock prac. It was insanely fun playing with Azrin and Vivek. The game they chose was kinda interesting. And me being an X Box noob, got trashed haha. If they'd played winning eleven or a soccer game I would've felt better. Haha.

Wednesday there was a slight difference to my schedule... Went for Daniel Sassoon's talk, which was compulsory for rock people, instead of going for RJGE training. He pretty much talked about local scene, and the difficulties of making it big locally. And I've decided. The band is gonna be a part time thing when I begin working. I think the others agree too. Its not just gonna end when our term at Raffles Rock ends.

After that we went to celebrate Gabriel's birthday with some ice-cream at Swensens! Me and Sam treated him. Ordered a Topless 5, a Gold Rush and a Coit Tower to share. Happy birthday Gabriel! And happy birthday Daniel Sassoon.

Thursday was a bit different as well. Instead of going home, I went for the Uni Talk in school till about 8:30. I felt it was quite pointless. I went there to hear more about medicine, about the criteria, the syllabus, etc etc. But they didn't talk about that. Instead I chose to read the NUS book prospectus thingy, which had all the information. Yeah. So it was a wasted evening.

Went to get Daryl's birthday present yesterday and Penisular. An electric. Yeah you heard me. An electric! Awesome. I can use it too. Especially since I'm now included in the... Go guess, its the same thing as just now. But Darren was kinda unhappy. Cos he isn't getting his present (A Nano) after he lost Daryl's MP3 in school. That was kinda irresponsible of him, but whats even worse is that he's acting like a stuck up brat cos he didn't get a present. Well... What can I say?

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Vox Humana

497th post. Its been a rather pleasant weekend, filled with Gihon and worship stuff. Really enjoyed myself baking with Gihon. Wished we could've taken a vid of everyone for Youth Day... Probably will have to meet them one day to film them haha. Probably will organise a homework doing session for them to complete everything before the hols end. Well Father's Day celebrations today went quite well... Only had a couple of hours to practise for the hoedown, and practise for the worship went comparatively better than the prac during camp. It was my first time playing piano/organ/keys/trumpets/vox for worship, and I'm glad it went ok, and I did it with God. Driving test is on friday... Not too worried about it, and also have no prob with failing it actually. Taking it easy, but hoping for good news. I guess its the peace that transcends all understanding thats taking over. And the most important thing for me for this test is not whether I pass or fail, but whether God was with me
