Heya!

K. Lets start with a couple of announcements. Hmmm... First off... Wanna introduce my new friends from my OG to you guys so... All you have to do is go down to this website! Our OG's joint BLOG! Go X'PEIA!

http://xpeia.blogspot.com

Added the link in my links column as well. Linked a few people from my OG too. Mandre/Amanda, Han Cheng are the new links. Go check them out.

Now onto my week... Sunday. It was awesome sharing on how my grandparents got saved. And great listening to how other people have been blessed the past year. It was kinda cool cos even the young people had the courage to come up to talk. I remember when I was Sec1 and in YE. Even if you gave me a million dollars, I'd never go up and talk. So kudos to everyone who went up!

Went for worship ministry meeting after that. Lots of changes, and the music ministry is forming three bands, main 1, main 2 and junior. I'm part of main 2. I'm the bassist of course! And... I have to train people in guitar and bass so I'm taking Jian Sheng, Marcus Yong and my bros. With some help from Tim of course.

Went for pool after that, braving the rain... Had 5 matches!

Me 2 Paul 1
Me 2 Daniel 0

Nice matches. Paul trashed me in that last match. I had four balls on the table still. Haha.

Monday! Finally, some real lectures to get the school year starting. Introductory lectures. More like admin stuff and corny jokes. Have to get a Graphical Calculator and lots of other stuff. Had bio, econs and chem. Frankly I can't remember anything about the lectures except for little bits that I jotted down. And one more thing. There was a chem quiz on the first day! Wah... I'm not very happy about that. And it was so demoralizing cos of the high level questions. Haha.

Q1. Name one teacher from the chemistry department.

A: What is wrong with you people? Expect us to know this kind of thing when you go through the list of teachers so fast. Bleagh.

I wanted to write that, but I left it blank. Haha.

Went to room A21 to meet up with my RIGE friends and sign up for guitar again! Saw Zaherf Hidorai, Yachiru and Itsuhito. Went to see the RJGE practice. I think we got a headstart in the GE already! Haha. We got to see the songs they were playing, and we met our dear instructor Gaspar again. Haha. Yachiru is super good at FF songs. He played Suteki Da Ne and Tifa's Theme on piano before the practice started.

Tuesday! Went ice skating with the X'PEIA people! Had an amazingly fun time. Third time skating. But I had a time limit of 1 hour before I had to go for piano. Felt a bit pissed cos I spent $10.50 on one hour of skating because some of them came late. But who cares? Its all about having fun. The last time I skated it took be 40 mins to warm up and stop holding the railings, but this time, less than 5 mins were needed. Awesome. Yi Hui is the skate pro! Wah.

They went for pool at Toa Payoh after that, but I went for piano class, then to my grandparent's house where I played Mahjong with the adults. And I ended up winning $4.40! Woot! Haha. And against adults some more. Haha.

Wednesday was super dreary, cos I had to wait 4 hrs before my first period, maths. Spent the time doing theory in the library and reading some more... Yong Sheng and me got a chess set for 85 cents. Haha. And he beat me so many times. Wah. Then there was this debate in my OG about GEPers. I have a confession to make. I'm a half blood GEP! Seriously. Haha. Whatever.

Went around signing up for CCAs after Maths lecture, then went home with Ann Liang and Song Hua. Its awesome going home with old friends! Went for Shaunald's grandfather's wake, and came back home real real late!

Today! Well, it was an ok day. Which started with 'The Box'. I was a bit too tired to try opening it. Haha. Don't tell you guys what that means. Had lesson, then break, then lesson, then break, then lesson. Finally got Tutorials to do! But its so hard. And I have no fullscap. I think I'll understand if people explain to me, but I won't understand if I stare at the notes myself. Haha. Bio teachers are good at explaining chim stuff...

K. Looking forward to Freaky Friday! Friday the 13th tomorrow... And of course, Saturday at East Coast!

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and

Vanguard

It’s taken a long time, but I think my heart is finally at peace. It’s been a tough journey but I am glad to say the worst of it is over. At the moment am surrounded by those who matter to me and I am doing meaningful things. Truly thankful that God has returned me to such a state.  In this season of Good Friday and Easter the word Vanguard comes to mind. Maybe it’s that season of life where God is exactly that for me, where we will be together in uncharted battlegrounds in both personal and professional life.  Not too sure when my next post will be but hope the next will be better than the last. Until next time!

Vox Humana

497th post. Its been a rather pleasant weekend, filled with Gihon and worship stuff. Really enjoyed myself baking with Gihon. Wished we could've taken a vid of everyone for Youth Day... Probably will have to meet them one day to film them haha. Probably will organise a homework doing session for them to complete everything before the hols end. Well Father's Day celebrations today went quite well... Only had a couple of hours to practise for the hoedown, and practise for the worship went comparatively better than the prac during camp. It was my first time playing piano/organ/keys/trumpets/vox for worship, and I'm glad it went ok, and I did it with God. Driving test is on friday... Not too worried about it, and also have no prob with failing it actually. Taking it easy, but hoping for good news. I guess its the peace that transcends all understanding thats taking over. And the most important thing for me for this test is not whether I pass or fail, but whether God was with me
