To the SYC peoples: Hope you guys had fun on your trip!
As most of you guys know I've been posted to my new "unit" which is the signal institute aka Stagmont camp. Life's been good, very good. Haven't gotten into trouble, have made great friends quickly, and gotten used to the culture and food there.
Well you guys are probably curious about the camp and stuff, but I'm not allowed to divulge anything, even details about people in my bunk, my living conditions etc. Seems like everyones a bit jittery because of MSK. One thing I can say is that what I'm learning has a lot to do with maths, physics and communications.

My godpa is going off to Dubai to work... Although I don't see him much, I think my bond with him is still pretty much strong. So the next time I'll see him is CNY. No more family gatherings at his place for some time I guess... I think the most fun times with the relatives at my mom's side was spent with him and his family.
Well good bye. For now.

I've been having a dilemma about something (once again I cannot divulge online as it pertains to the army). And it has something to do with medicine. The book of Esther really encouraged me during this time.
Just before going to the king and asking for a cancellation of the massacre of the Jews, Esther made this bold statement: "If I perish, I perish." The power of these words really caught me by surprise. The utter belief in God's protection and will for her made Esther go the distance for her people. In a book which supposedly has no mention of the word "God", the presence of God still lingers around each and every chapter.
I can draw the parallels between the book of Esther and the army. Even though no one seems to be "godly" in a sense, God's presence still follows me, and it is still my joy to be able to depend on Him. I pray that even though I face this dilemma I can say with Esther's boldness: "If it happens, so it happens."

Book in later today. But I can do so in CV! Sweet. I'll just wear my CV to church. Till next week!
