Crazy Day

Hmm... Yesterday was an insane day. Uh huh. Had to go for Chem lesson in the morning about exothermic and endothermic reactions or something. Then I went for CCA after that. Everyone was super pissed because the teacher decided to plan the date and time for the camp all by himself. He made sure it was a 3 day 1 night camp and that there would be pracs during the camp. What kind of camps have this kind of thing in the middle? Everyone was angry cos he didn't consult us before he did something. At the start of our leadership term, he told us: "Everything you do you have to consult me first..." And what did he do? He went on by himself without telling us. Bah. Since he doesn't respect what we want and what the members of the CCA want, under what conditions should we respect him? None. We are students. We know that practices during camp have a detrimental effect on the morale of the people. We know that 3 day 1 night camps are redundant and most likely people won't come on the first day because they don't have to stay over. But he doesn't know that does he? Doesn't matter. Theres nothing we can do know since he's given out the notices. All we can do is bring it up to higher authority.

Went to Plaza Singapura after having lunch. Met Tim, Hui Juan and Rach at the box office and went to see the keyboards. The keyboard we chose was kinda cool. Had all those weird things added in that maybe we could use for future concerts? Then we went to Carrefour to buy marshmallows and snacks for Charissa's birthday celebration at Amanda's house. Then we sat taxi to Leedon Heights at around 4 something which made us super early.

We ended up lazing around the pool and then going to Amanda's house to watch a Thai movie or something. Frost is so cute. I miss her already. Haha. Well. Went down to the pool side after Charissa arrived. Then we started the BBQ. We cooked bananas, hotdogs and marshmallows and we had pizza and snacks for dinner. They threw Shu, Amanda, Jon and Eugene in. I personally dislike doing that kind of thing to people but... Well. Its just for fun. Nobody wanted to throw me in cos I was a nice guy. Being a nice guy pays k? People should follow my example if they don't want to get thrown in the pool. Haha. Helped Eugene dry the stuff in his wallet. But he was still kinda wet. While playing Wacko, I kinda had those gastric pains again. I guess I didn't eat much yesterday. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner isn't enough. I guess I need at least 5 meals. If you guys ask me out or something, remind me to have something to eat if its somewhere around these times: 6am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm or 10pm. Thats when I usually eat when I'm at home nowadays. If I decline, make sure you slap me and tell me to eat up or else...

Well... Went home with Shaunald, Rachel and Benedict. Ben and I live around the Gombak area while Rachel lives around the Bukit Batok area. So we waited at the wrong bus stop for 30 mins then crossed to the other side where we took 174 to Bukit Batok Central. Then Ben and I took 945 home, leaving Rachel at the bus stop and Shaunald at the MRT. When I reached home, I was super sleepy and started sleeping after I changed clothes.

Thats all for yesterday! Pretty insane day ya? I guess I'll be having more of these kinds of days during the hols...

Gamble

It's been quite some time since the last post, and time has just been ticking on. I'm entering a new phase in my career in a new office at Queenstown. Things are good on the work front, as I've been given a vote of confidence and responsibilities despite my young age. Eventually I'll be getting re-designated as a Team Leader, and looking forward to it! It's a sign that I am well versed enough in the work. Another part of my life that has been looking up - playing keys/bass for the newly created Saturday Service for church. I feel that spiritually things are well despite the turmoil of last year. A great sense of fulfillment and meaning whenever I do that, as if I'm back to my roots. In terms of leisure the usual things:  1. Soccer - Late night matches (back to the good old days) 2. PS4 - Trying to finish off Tales of Berseria, moving on to Assassins Creed: Origin thereafter 3. Anime - Still watching the good old stuff that is still going on (One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh,...

Digimon

I'm feeling quite nostalgic and have been thinking about my childhood a lot recently. A lot of it is because of the retreat I just had with my CG members and how having such a retreat reminded me of days that were more slower paced and more relaxed.  It makes me want to relive some of my memories. Two ways that I've thought about is soccer - I've been watching some of the World Cup matches, and it reminds me of the late nights I had watching matches when I was 15 or so and just starting this blog. About how soccermugger came to be in the first place and how I wanted this platform to post about soccer scores and how I felt about the matches I watched. The other way is to watch old anime, and I'm thinking about revisiting the first ever anime I watched which was Digimon. It was televised in Mandarin at 8am, and I remember waking up early on the weekends to watch it fervently. Maybe its time to do that again.  In general I guess my inclinations are to be more at ease and ...

Bakemonogatari

Hiya everyone! Just signed my permanent staff contract today and I must say that was a real moment of satisfaction. Shows that the 2 years of hard work and dedication to what I do has paid off in a big way and I'm happy with my work. When I started my job I had no idea it would be this fulfilling and enjoyable and I am so blessed to have it. Couple of exciting things are happening: for one a holiday with my family to Korea. Other stuff include pay raises and the bonus that goes with it, Euro 2016 etc. I finally watched a match on Saturday (it was boring) but Sunday night's matches were great. Tonight not too sure if I'll watch any but it's shaping up to be an exciting tournament. Well that's all for now, more updates after the next series!
