Ahh... Back from Japan.
Well, didn't take many pics cos my phone always runs out of batt too fast. So the next post will be a pictured one to let you guys see all the cool stuff in Hokkaido.
Mostly went there to eat eat eat eat and eat. Play a bit, onsen a bit, shop a bit, and see the scenery. Thats almost about everything I did. Covered quite a portion of Hokkaido including Chitose, Sapporo, Asahikawa, Biei, Sounkyo, Noboribetsu, Jigokudani, Furano. At least thats what the itinerary said. But I think we didn't go to Sounkyo because of the cold...
Night time in Japan starts at 4:30pm in the afternoon, a bit weird huh. In terms of jap... I could read most of the things I saw except for kanji, but some times I didn't understand what I read uh. The most commonly seen kind of japanese used would be katakana, which I learnt just in time before the trip. I managed to translate some stuff such as flavors of ice cream, chocolate, curry, ramen etc lol. All in all it was a great learning experience for me.
Heres a list of places we visited:
Otaru Canal
White Chocolate Factory
Odori Park
Sake Brewery museum
Hokkaido Jingu (A shinto shrine)
Lavender Glass House
Shooting Star and Silver River falls
Asahiyama Zoo
Shiraoi Ainu Village
Jigokudani (Hell's Valley)
Chitose Factory Outlet Mall Rera
Japanese Beer Factory
Nijo fresh seafood market
Susukino Ramen Alley
Tanuki Koji Shopping Arcade
Salmon Aquarium
We bought lots and lots and lots of chocolate. Will be giving it out. And yes! I bought my Shogi set.
Oh and about onsens... Never mind I'll cover it in the next posts.
Have been doing Revelations... Everything is a little blurry for me. But for now trying to remember the order of all the events happening. One thing thats clear for me is that the events start with the Devil trying to take control of the world (the 7 trumpets) and then God trying to destroy him (the 7 golden bowls). Quite interesting. Another thing very obvious is that the devil isn't supposed to be taken lightly. But I guess everyone knows that already.
Well since my journey of the bible has finished prematurely for the year, I thought I'd start scripture memory with those cards aunty k gave me, as well as have more intense prayer or call the young uns to ask how they're doing.
Got a sore throat from the dry air in Japan. And well... My driving course is this coming friday. And I haven't packed for YM camp. Hmms.
