Recently I've been thinking deeply about my alma mater, and sometimes I just don't know what to think. I'm proud of it, for creating people of good caliber, able to enter the workforce, be productive for Singapore, and also function extremely well in society. But on the other hand, I now find salient some evidence why some people sometimes hate us so much. The indifference, assumed higher moral standard, and the blatant disregard for the feelings of others are some of the things I've been observing from some (not all of course) of my peers, seniors and juniors. Sometimes even from myself. I don't know what to say... I've always been proud to be part of the family, but now I don't know. Sometimes what you experience just breaks your whole view and positive regard of a situation. Attitudes change...
Well, on to more exciting stuff: my bros have bought FF13-2, and Daryl's now deeply engrossed with it, playing it continuously for some time. I'll probably play it, because its replayability value is high, but that's once I complete GTA4 and ACR.
Besides that, Daryl's done with his life as a poly student, and will now either be relaxing full scale at home, or looking for a part time job. Do ask him out yeah, since he's now free. Darren has just left for Thailand on his OCS training for a full 16 days, so do catch up with him when he gets back yeah!
Next, the servers are doing very very good jobs leading worship here in YE, and I was very very impressed with Deborah, not only because she led well, but also for her depth of introspection into the theme that she chose. And I'm glad some of the servers are helping out with worship. Looking forward to Aaron co-leading with me! Well with the progress they're making, they can become the next line of worship leaders! I'll slowly work them into it. For now, its just theme and song selection, but soon I'll introduce chording, administration, the need for passionate singing, and eventually leave the entire process to them. That'll take some time but I believe they're doing extremely well!
Lastly, Valentines Day this year was a first for me, before this every single year was just an ordinary day for me. I truely do feel the blessing of being loved by someone who has God in mind, and way that Van cares for me. After our date on Valentines some really bad news came in regarding my project group, and also my tire had a rather bad puncture which I fixed all the way till 1130... But there she was supporting me, although we were physically apart. We gave each other gifts with a depth of meaning, and with a deep heartfelt sincerity... And that's what I cherish very very much.
Well that's all for this post! Next week will be break week, but shall be busy with doing up my Japan and Singapore project proposal, and preparing a super nice file with our BS for Gihon (Since they don't have the book). So you'll probably see me blogging earlier in the week instead of Thursday. Catch you all back here soon!
