It's been a slew of work since church camp ended! Especially with all the YE outings here and there! I personally don't think I'm very good at rallying people, but I guess I just have to try my best!
So far the first outing that happened was on Saturday, which was the YE ECP outing! It would've been nice if there were more people going, but I guess the group was just nice to cycle with, and there were a mix of people from different age groups so I'm satisfied! The weather was perfect! As for the next outing I'm a little more apprehensive because of the response so far... Seems like there may be not enough people but we'll see! :D It's an outing for God after all, to enjoy His presence around us and appreciate Him for the many leisure activities He provides for us! This outing is for Him! :D
On to church camp! I came with a mindset of relaxation, wanting to have times of rest before God. I somewhat achieved it, but I think that wasn't God's plan for me in this camp! It was to serve just like how Jesus served, and I did my best praying for my peers. On the last night I stayed up all the way till morning, until around 4-5am I spent time playing games and chatting with people, but after that came the serious stuff. I sat around the pool in darkness, wanting to listen to God's voice.
I was asking for His heart for YE and the situation we're in! We're improving, but still have much way to go in terms of spirituality. But God told me this: In the story of Naaman he was told to go down to the river Jordan and wash 7 times to be rid of his leprosy... And in that time of solitude I feel that God was telling me the time of washing of YE is not done yet! We'd only started washing, but the journey is yet longer... So I shall have patience!
Well coming back from camp I've now got to speak for 1 more YE session, so shall spend this week planning that. The leader's training syllabus is still pending approval, and I can't wait to roll it out! Shall wait in anticipation! :)
