Its quite a different experience spending a Good Friday and Easter Sunday in camp. Spent a bit of Easter sitting in the manning room with Weiliang listening to Christian songs, reflecting about all the good things that have happened. Knowing that no matter how big my sin is, Christ still triumphs over all of it overwhelmingly. Even though I was "not worth it" or so to say, He died for me. Thats more than enough for me. Everything else pales in comparison.
Thank You for the cross, Lord
Thank You for the price You paid.
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace.
I suppose the reason that God chose for me to spend this important occasion in camp was not only to make it fresh, but also give me sometime alone with Him, in silence.
Todays the first time in a long time I manned the office overnight... Couldn't sleep much, but with His presence so strong I couldn't help but indulge in a time of lengthy prayer.
Well besides that, completed Rurouni Kenshin manga, and realised that the anime totally did not do justice to the manga. Especially since the anime never even touched on Kenshin's final answer to how he would atone for his sins for killing so many people, and never even showed the future of all the characters. I would say the anime is incomplete, and has way too many fillers. (The whole story plot after the Shishio Makoto arc isn't in the manga)
Some of the anime's host of lovable characters. =)
But despite all that written above, Rurouni Kenshin is still one of the top anime on my list to watch. Anime newbs, please go ahead and watch it, you won't regret it.
Besides these 2 things other things I did over the weekend include watching Marley and Me (which reminded me of Gerald), and You Me and Dupree. Thanks to Ethan who got the player from his sis. Played a bit of D&D and Monopoly to round it off.
3 days to book out! Route march to end it all off on wednesday. Can't wait.
