Right now I have a tingly exciting feeling which I don't know how I got. Its quite an interesting emotion running through me.
This week we have finally been seperated into our specialisations within the company, and mine is based on the servers that we use. Other people got satellite, network or radio specialisations. Mine is pretty special IMO. Get to learn things that other people don't know, even those in the same company as me don't really know as well. Have a sense of power because of the knowledge I have.
And the greatest thing about this week is that I finally found a sense of satisfaction in what I do. Seeing all the people work together showed me that every single person is an important cog in an important piece of machinery for the SAF. For the first time I feel proud of what I'm doing and have been through.
Its been tough, but only one week remains before we graduate from UIP. Just finished my last ever guard duty I'll ever do. And after this coming week is done, we'd have become pros. All the privileges that we lost will start coming back. All the credit due to us will be given. Happy!
God works in marvelous ways. Whenever theres a down, there'll always be an up. Thats what I'm sure of and it makes me real glad.
OVL is coming... Can't divulge much details of it. Basically its something that I've gotta do duties for (but its not the same as company duties). For me its starting on 4th July, which is coincidentally the ministry community date. And it ends on 1st Aug, the day after my birthday. The duty system is 12hrs duty, 24hrs rest for the entire duration...
But doing 2.333 days of duty out of a week sounds good to me! Just that my biological clock will get destroyed totally. Good thing I'm equally a day and night person. Heh.
Wonder how much of YE I'll miss due to OVL? Then again even if I'm not doing OVL... My company duty system will cause me to lose alternate weekends and be compensated with long weekends which can be used for prepping worships or talks or stuff like that, which will be quite good for my ministry.
We'll see what God has in store, shall we?
