Yeah so the past few days I've been feeling pretty tired and lacklustre. Probably because of insufficient sleep, insufficient water or too much chips and ice cream haha. So as a result I've got a splitting headache, as well as a couple of pretty bad ulcers to deal with. Nothing much I couldn't handle, except for the pain haha. I think its time for a change of habits.

Family
The probable reason for my lack of sleep throughout the week would probably be cos of movies, risk, and poker. See, my uncle William, aunt Jenny and Desiree left for HK leaving Jody and Omy behind. And as a result, they've come to our house the past few days and we've been playing all those games till pretty late at night.
Haha I am some poker noob. The twins sorta introduced it to everyone after they'd gone to watch Casino Royale and done a bit of research about it. So we played with monopoly money and there was this instant my brother bet 5000 and I stupidly followed, thinking that he was bluffing. Yeah and I lost. So I put all my money in the next round and lost again. Haha I can see why the casino isn't such a good idea.
Risk was much better, cos strategy was my forte. But the problem was, we were playing mission, and the mission I got was to get 24 territories of my choice. My bros and my cousin got easier missions such as conquering continents. I finished Darren (Red) off and as a result Omy won, and I gave Daryl Africa and Australia, letting him win. But in the end I world dominated. So I still lost haha. Anybody want to play world domination against me? It'll be fun, I guarantee.
Yup so thats what I've been doing late at night.

YE
Lots of things going on for YE, including preparations for camp. Well, first thing is I have to do is apologize to Amanda for dragging the camp theme song for so long. Honestly we were having a really tough time getting a song, both Rachel and me. We just couldn't think of anything. Yeah and just when we got a song, we decided to consult Tim who said he would think if there was anything more suited to the theme. Yup so sorry again.
The first YE outing was probably a week back if I'm not wrong (See too long ago to remember hmm). We went to East Coast Park to cycle and bowl. The cycling portion was pretty fun, but with my hair so long it kept getting blown out of place. And as a result of having to readjust every now and then, I learnt the art of one hand bike riding. And I was pretty ambidextrous as well. To discover what that means, search the online dictionary.
Yup some pics from there...
Whoa emo clouds...
Some water hole Nat and Louis created.
Daryl at Subway
Me at Subway. Thats Felice in the background. Yeah as you can see my hair's messy from all that cycling.
Yup later we went for bowling, most of us guys at least. My scores are as follows:
79, 109
And that was it for the first outing.
The second outing was much more interesting. Instead of the sand and sea, we went for the indoors and ice instead. It was the ice skating outing organised by Martin. I had lots of fun, despite the rink being pretty wet. The challenge was to not fall down and get yourself wet, but I did once after some lady banged into me.
Haha my bro kept trying to trip other YE people, especially the girls. The ones who were the victim most of the time were Vanessa and Fiona, the Ghui sisters. You should have seen Vanessa, she was totally wet haha. Yup besides that every one skated pretty well and had fun.
Yeah and that probably concluded the outing, since me and bro went off in a hurry to get home and eat dinner with our cousins.
The last and final outing involved a whole lot of rain. It was Paul's table tennis outing somewhere at Clementi at his house. The first thing we did when we reached was to begin playing at the void decks around his house. For some reasons there were table tennis tables there, and we set up and began playing. It didn't last very long, cos it started to rain, and it rained pretty hard. We were pretty much soaked cos the rain entered the void deck (yeah it was strong enough). As a result we eat snacks at one of the more sheltered void decks and then returned to Paul's house once the rain had subsided.
Once we were back my bros spread the poker craze. And the rest of us played halo. There were 3 controllers, so we chose a map (Foundation) and put the settings so that we'd spawn with random weapons. If we were fortunate enough, we'd get a missile launcher, needler or energy sword. And we started to hack at each other. And though I was a halo noob, I won! Against Daryl and Andrew. Couldn't believe it.
Yeah after that we had a bit of pizza, and I decided to be the house for poker. That means I wasn't playing, only dealing the cards. They played community poker, which means I deal each of them 2 cards, then place 3 community cards face up. Then bid and bid until I reveal 2 more community cards. Then the person with the highest combo wins taking into consideration the 7 cards they have in total. To learn more, watch Casino Royale or do some research.

K unto more serious stuff.
Last Sunday YE was stunned by the news that our current pastor, Rev Soon Soo Kee was being transfered some time soon. As well, we recieved news of a possible merger between the youth of the chinese congregation and english congregation. No one was thrilled to hear the news, cos it meant that YE would cease to exist in a few years time.
To tell the truth, I was looking forward to it. Not only cos I could play soccer with some people again, but cos I was looking forward to the challenge of working with a brand new set of people. To tell the truth I was a bit sick of being one out of the three more regular 17 year old guys who attended YE, and I was looking for a new set of friends besides the ones I have now.
And though theres always this uncertainty of not being able to play again in the worship ministry, I've chosen to accept it cos I see God's will in this. Some how, God will make the combined youth a much better entity for spiritual growth, despite the fact that new people will be coming and the dynamics would be totally different. What all of us as good Christians need to do is to accept with an open heart and mind, knowing that God has our best interests in mind.
To those who don't like the change, I know how you feel. I've never liked change. But it takes courage to accept something new, that much I've learnt over the past few years. And once you see the courage within yourself, you'll be happy and proud that you've shown it.
Yup thats all from me.
